1. Hi, thanks for that. I sort of have it in my head that I could just lift the little combo to take to rehearsals etc and hide the cab from my mrs who wants her living room(s) back! Not as easy with a 2x10 combo, she's like a bloodhound! I have stupidly just read a review of the AER Amp One... Now they do sound good...
2. Hi, just looking for a bit of advice really. I have a Mark Little 2 500w and a Markbass 151p Traveller 400w cab. I am debating on whether or not to sell and buy an Ibanez Promethean P5110 with the 10" extension cab (or the Orange isobaric 2x10) as I am really trying to compact my equipment. I have just moved down from an Eden Metro with a 4x10 extension to the Mark and I am very happy with it. I was wondering, will the Promethean with extension be suitable for smallish venues? We very rarely play without PA support (if ever) so my only real problem would be monitoring. Has anyone had any experience with the Promethean? What would be a fair price for the Promethean now? I think the P5110 might be discontinued but not 100% about that. I really don't want to sell the Mark stuff to find the Promethean wont be suitable. Any ideas? Thanks...
3. [sup]I've played in a few bands where the lead guitar amp was a Carlsbro Stingray and the guitar sound has always been excellent. One lad (who is quite well known) still uses his Stingray that he bought in about 1979![/sup]
4. I would play originals but I keep on meeting guitarists who are control freaks, want to 'rule' and spit their dummy out on a regular basis. I now play Clash songs with a group of mates (one of which now lives in Belgium) and we have a right good laugh. No strained rehearsals or prima donna singers and guitarists. We have a drummer who drives, can play, isn't a grumpy b*****d, moves and sets his own kit up( which he bought it himself!!!). To top it all our drummer even pays his own rehearsal money!!!! Beat that. Why would I want to play originals?
5. I find it really odd that you can buy a copy in a shop but cant sell one on Ebay? I have had a few ads removed as they "infringed" copyright. One bass I tried to sell was a 1972 Precision with a different neck which didn't even have a decal on at all (the original got snapped) and they took that off!!! There's tons of copies on Ebay but they only appear to remove private ads. Perhaps if you had a business account that would be ok!
6. Hi, does anybody have any info on Turbomax PA speakers. I have some for sale but cant get any info anywhere for anybody who is interested in them! The models are TMT450 8OHM and SB600 which are 4OHM. They are quality build. The tops are heavy and they all sound excellent. It seems odd that such a quality built piece of kit has virtually no info? When I bought them there was a site that sold them and they retailed at £2600 for the 4 matching units? Anybody had any experience of them? Thanks in advance.
7. Hi, is the bass still up for sale?

9. First got a bass aged 12. Never had an amp but played it relentlessly whilst watching tv with my parents who must have had the patience of saints. Within 12 months I had taught myself Never Mind the Bollocks and The Clash first album. Then I joined a band and that's when music ruined my life...
10. [sup]Hi, yes its still up for sale. [/sup]
11. Hi, what could you possibly trade this bass for?
12. I bought this about a year second hand off fleabay and have never used it. One of the tone controls feels a bit wobbly and one of the screws that holds the battery access panel is missing but apart from a little bit of buckle rash it seems fine. £75. I am in Blackburn Lancs.
13. Superfly. Seen very little use. Only used as a spare. Still got the box, case and accessories. £125. I'm in Blackburn Lancs
14. Carpeted. Used and gigged. No damage to speak of. Sounds great with the Eden I am also selling. Selling cheap as I managed to get a cheap Mark compact setup off fleabay. Any questions please ask. I'm in Blackburn Lancs.
15. Fender Red Knob guitar combo 400w. Loudest guitar amp I have ever heard. Its that loud its wrong. I think the footswitch is faulty and as far as I know it is needed to change channels properly. The volume on channel 2 does not seem to turn down all the way, it may be related to the footswitch, I don't really know. Some twit also knocked the channel 1 volume knob off last time we gigged but the channel still works though. Everything works it just needs the footswitch and a pot sorting out I think. Somebody has written something on the grill (only small) and it has a well gigged appearance. Its certainly not showroom. No major rips or damage. £240 or trade for some compact bass gear. I am in Blackburn Lancs.
16. Hand made in the USA Eden 2x10 combo. Just serviced with no issues. I thought it had a problem but it turned out to be condensation in the tweeter pot but caused no damage. Engineers report available. Gigged but in good condition for age. A few of the caps on the volume knobs have fallen off or rather blown off but that's purely cosmetic and totally replaceable. You all know how good these are so its pointless waffling on. Well used flight case but plenty of life left. Its slightly too small for the Eden but does close and lock without causing any damage. I use this with my Ashdown MAG 4x10 450w deep and together they are incredible. Long throw so most gigs it does not need to go through a rig. No rips etc but both gigged so don't expect them to be like new. £650 or may seperate. I am looking to downsize so if anybody has any compact bass gear eg Promethean/Redsub Phil Jones with extension cab etc let me know. Any questions please ask...
17. I don't think you could buy a more solid case. This is a flight case not a standard case. It could fall out of a plane and your Precision would remain perfect. Quite old, very heavy but not pristine. This case has travelled the world but has plenty of life left. Foam moulding to hug the bass when inside. I believe it used to belong to Herbie Flowers. I'm selling it as its now way over the top for what I need. This is the case for you if you have a valuable Precision and plan on touring. Collection from BB22SH would be advisable as its very heavy. It may also fit a Jazz but I have not tried one in it.

19. Thanks everybody. I dropped it off with Dave today...
20. Fender Red Knob guitar combo 400w. Built in the early 1980's and highly sought after. I will update the details Monday morning as the combo is in the rehearsal room at the moment. It has a couple of issues - I think the footswitch is faulty and as far as I know it is needed to change channels properly. The volume on channel 2 does not seem to turn down because of this and some twit knocked the channel 1 volume knob off last time we gigged. Channel still works though. Everything works it just needs the footswitch sorting out I think. Its in not bad nick for its age, somebody has written something on the grill (only small) and it has a gigged appearance. Its certainly not showroom. I will get some pics tomorrow and try and upload them. £360 or trade for some compact bass gear. I am in Blackburn Lancs...
