3. These basses are amazing, I have the 6 string version and the sound and feel is great. Can also confirm that fanned frets are easy to adapt to.
4. Passive EQ so it does very little to be honest. I set bass to about 11oclock, mid to 1oclock and treble to about 12oclock
5. BUMP! Even found the little padded velcro strip to go over the handle, this amp is now super portable
6.
I haven't gigged mine yet and I will be driving it, I guess I had best get one still. is it 20 or 40-db? Best of luck with the sale, a this price, it will go quickly
Think it is a 40 but a 20 would probably be better.
if only this was here yesterday haha. just bought one off eBay. Bump for a great deal
Well thats teaches me to wait around before putting things up on here, d'oh
7. Not always, has helped in some venues depending on the sound engineer and his set up, good to have in the bag in case. The Philips tubes don't tame the amp too much, still very 'drivey' if you want it to be, just give a better range of sounds before you get overdrive.
8. Selling my 500 watt Orange Terror Bass head as I picked up a Mark Bass in the sales. It is in very good condition, used for a couple of years but never abused, I have taken very good care of it. Included in the sale are: - The head itself - Power cable - Padded carry case - Original 12AX7 preamp valves that offer a lot of drive - Currently fitted valves (Philips 5751s) that allow a wider range of gain from warm to overdrive - XLR attenuator: the output on the amps DI is very hot meaning it can be awkward to run straight into the desk, this attenuates the signal keeping sound engineers happy I am asking £320 + P&P, these are around £490 new and with the replacement valves I think that is fair.
9.
The captains rest
Ah I know where your at, been a while since I have been in
10. Out of interest what venue is that?
11. Some of Admiral Fallow's stuff is double bass and pretty poppy
12. Sorry to hear you having to get rid of this beauty, I can vouch for this bass being a masterpiece and unbelievably easy to play for its size (I have midget hands and I managed). Would have it in a heart beat but funds do not allow and it may look a little out of place in a folk punk band.
13. Great guy, did his best to help when Royal Mail where doing their best to be feckless idiots.
14. Is is definitely distortion, could it be a mechanical rattle? Something in the cab, amp or even the room you are in might be just loose enough to rattle giving a buzzing sound. I have had that a few times.
15. These basses are absolutely fantastic, I have the 6 string and it is awesome
16. hmmm I am starting to see a trend of people called Dan having a fantastic taste in basses
17. mmm sounds nice. I would love the funds for another Dingwall, nicest basses I have ever encountered. Can't wait to see this come together. p.s. going by your twitter your name is Dan, small world that dbass and d-basser on here are both Dingwall wielders called Dan
18. Nice song, really like the idea for the vid but found the wobbly camera a little off putting
19. I have never wanted a T-bird before but dayum that looks nice
20. Peaveys are very good for the money but I have to say the Lakland I used to have was bloody awesome. I would go for a Laky if you can get one second hand but if you see a nice Peavey anywhere I doubt you'll be disappointed for the money.
21. Franz and Chris are both awesome artists, for fans of folk punk or just damn good songs. I will be supporting Friday at the Glasgow show (playing with Dave Hughes)
22. Composition changed early 90s edit: have a look here http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/4900524.stm
23. I wish, but I hate to see the taxi driver's face when I try and get to my next gig
