1. Ane bought my Lakland 5502 from me last year. Good to deal with, regular communication and prompt payment. Nice to know the bass is serving him well and is being put to good use.
2. I second the UF-01 if you can find one, great pedal.
3. I just use a few sheets of thin packing foam, for recording you could just put the head next to the cab so it isn't vibrating.
4. Mine rattles quite a bit, think it could be the springs that hold the valves in. I put a cushion or some foam between the head and cab when I am playing at home and that seems to sort the problem.
5. Great amp, loud little bugger too
6. I will try and find out what it was designed for, condition wise I bout it for 20quid hardly used and havent found a use for it myself so it is not new but not noticably used. I will post pics later on.
7. Like this one Lightly used but not abused, used to have my Fafner in it but I put it in a wheeled case and then sold it. Looking for £35 + p&p. PM me with questions or if you need pics.
8. Exactly what it says, £20 incl p&p PM me with questions or if you need pictures, I promise a quick response
9. Got some pedals to shift: Boss CS-3, good nick with box - £30 posted Morley little Alligator volume pedal, hardly touched and I think I still have the packaging - £50 posted Behringer bass chorus, hardly used - £15 posted PM me with any questions or if you need pictures
10. Barefaced are great, I have a midget (1x12) and that gives some serious oomf and low end so I can only imagine how nice the super twelve is.
11. I unfortunately cannot afford this and I am sorry to see you sell it but for anyone interested in it I can say that Dingwalls are truly awesome and fanned frets are not only easy to adapt to but very quickly feel better than the norm.
12. I have the pickups out of a squire precision special (PJ) if the P is any use to you. I may even have the rest of the electronics but they will need a good rewire. PM me if these are any use.
13. I quite liked the few I played but I would recommend keeping an eye out for a 55-02 second hand as you can pick them up relatively cheap and they are awesome basses.
14. you b*gger, I keep half an eye on the Glasgow Gumtree waiting for something like this. Seriously though well done on the lucky wee buy.
15. Orange is pure ROCK! Doesn't do much else mind you but has one hell of a rocking tone
16. I had a look at Jan's link, just looking for a few pointers before I take a trip to B&Q
17. truly intrigued by the bucket/tea chest bass idea, any advice on building one?
18. I use my OTB with an attenuator from studio spares, cost me around £5 I think and works great, love the amp.
19. there is one band around Glasgow who busk with a bass but I have never looked at what there amp setup is
20. ^yup but I cant afford a double bass, if I could I would.
21. I have an acoustic bass but they are very quiet, mine even more so since it is strung with flatwounds rather than acoustic strings. Even with the acoustic strings you couldn't hear it over guitar never mind guitar, percussion and vocals
22. I wish I could afford a micro cube, they look perfect for what I am wanting but my budget is currently as close to zero as possible.
