1. I have one on here for £500 but that is cause I am selling with a foot pedal and case (which if you buy from bassdirect pushes the price up to £650)
2. Thanks zeebs To be honest I don't think this is a worse amp than the Orange I just got. This is far more versatile and powerful, also smaller and lighter. But the limited range of sounds the Orange does suits me better with my current basses and projects. Would love to keep both.
3. I found my Dingwall and Sei a little excessive for the Folk Punk project I play in mostly so I sold the Sei and got a Lakland 5502. Looked at Stingrays but I think the Laklands are a better option (my opinion obviously)
4. All this interest but still waiting on a firm offer. Come on folks this is a fantastic amp!
5. bumped again. Interest but no firm offer...yet
6. This is my perfect bass, if only this had been up for sale when I bought my 5502 a few months back
7. I need to start selling organs to get an ACG, I don't look for a while and decide that I don't need one then a beaut like this surfaces and I want to cry.
8. Badump for a fantastic amp and £115 of accessories!
9. Thinking about trying new bass strings (currently a DR lowriders user) and I was looking at elixirs. Not sure about scale length though. They'd be for a Lakland 5502 35" scale and I like to string through the body. Will this be long scale or extra long scale? thanks
10. Pics as promised. Amp, pedal and bag. You will notice the few small scuffs on the edges and the small mark on the pedal, as always these things look a lot worse when photographed.
11.
These are cheap and useful: Attenuator They do 10, 20, 30 & 40 dB models Alternatively Shure do a switched unit: Shure attenuator
which value of attenuator would you recommend?
12. Hey guys I got myself an Orange Bass Terror yesterday, overall lovely amp. One thing though; there is a rattle when I play at any highish volumes, I think it is the springs that hold the valves in place, anything I can do about this? thanks Dan
13. Terror/Midget combo is great though. Mostly playing my Lakland 5502 at the moment as it fits my bands better, love the Dingwall but it is a strange beast so can understand folk not getting along with them.
14. Beautiful to be honest, lets the natural awesomeness of the bass shine through. The terror set flat into the midget gives a lovely warm natural sound. Smile on my face was massive. The Genz midget combo can be a little harsh that is the only thing, I think a tweeter would only make this worse.
15. I found the midget pretty toppy with my genz benz shuttle 6.0, definately not lacking even with my 6 string. With the orange less so but that is the amp not the cab.
16. New amp to complement my midget, will get christened saturday
17. I sit and stand on my midget regularly...the cabs are quite good too.
18. Just my 2p here. I have one of the first midgets and I have had no issues with build or performance, thing has already been knocked over and dropped and there are no marks, very solid wee b*gger. I am not doubting Robs probs but just saying don't let it put you off barefaced to much
19. Get good work at either Jimmy's or Strung Out but the banter is better at Strung Out. Near my Uni so I pop in for a chat every so often or if I am at 13th note.
20. Aye that is an impressive crowd Goatreich, better than the 7 or so people my band pulls in. Listening to Desecration just now on myspace, soon as I am less poor I will need to purchase some o your cds
21. Been in that position before but thankfully I get on well with everyone in both my bands now, not saying they don't have their flaws. It makes the whole process much better and I am much more creative if I am comfortable in a situation. I know this doesn't help you much but if there is any chance you could get into a band with folk you actually like it is hugely beneficial.
22. I am on stage honest, in the darkness to the right past the backing singer. Bass line is a little iffy as I made a lot of it up as I went along. Actually seems to be the general theme that I am invisible in videos, you can see my old Fafner quite well though Proof I actually go onstage, note the lack of drummer though and I had no cab because we had travelled Glasgow to just outside Birmingham in a 207, yes all of us including 6'6" mandolin player and out gear
