1. The empress and sauce audio are probably the frontrunners ATM. The sauce audio especially if it can also use its stereo outputs as an effects loop like the nemesis.
2. I'm GASing for a reverb pedal ATM. Mostly looking for a versitile ambient verb that can go from light and shinny to deep and boomy. Preferred features; infinite feedback, momentary switch to increase feedback, MIDI sync on any modulation, lots of controls to tweak. Extra points for weird/unusual.
3. The closest i think your going to get to a midi synced looper for that price is a digitech jamman and one of these: http://www.customliveelectronics.com/en/effets-guitare/accessoires-pedales/24-syncman-jamman-synchronisation-midi-korg I use a jamman stereo express xt with one and it sync's up fine to my boss rc50 /any of my other midi pedals (delay, drum machine, etc). As for other looper pedals that sync to midi; rc50(only one I've tried other than the jamman), I think I read that the rc300 only sync's to other rc300s. TC electronic dito x4, TC Electronic Flashback X4, EHX 45000, Pigtronix Infinity Looper, Boomerang III, boss 505.

Pedal cable

Guitar leads work, but would get a bit messy. You can get shorter ones called Patch leads/cables. They are the same as normal guitar leads but shorter.
5. It's a snowball. Quite popular with streamers/youtubers IIRC.
6.
Whatever sounds best, probably a bit of both with any delay/reverb/modulation after the pre and everything else before it.
This. RTFM if you're putting effects in your amps loop, as it might be line level instead of instrument.
7. My weird and whacky suggestion: a bitcrusher. They are like a very digital sounding fuzz that keeps all your low end. Fun bonus is you can get 8bit type sounds from it if you set them right. I have an Iron Ether Frantabit (my favorite pedal) and a Moore LoFi Machine. Both good bits of kit, the Frantabit is a bit more expensive, but also more versatile.
8. I use a tech 21 midi mouse, small and quite easy to change channels. Even with my huge clumsy feet. The thing I like about is you can scroll through and select the desired channel, and then hit a switch to change. Good for mid song changes. If you're amp works by channels (instead of Cc messages or something) then I'd say give one a go.
9. Honey Is Cool are my favourite band, but I've never met someone who knew them before I introduced. http://youtu.be/h5W6JZFa1xI https://youtu.be/YuX4bJJd3vs https://youtu.be/eAiqQChICZk They probably would be known for their Rod Stwart cover http://youtu.be/QWvsTU9v21o Other less well-known bands I listen to:- Girls Against Boys https://youtu.be/OEjJXeR1o8c Tycho https://youtu.be/mehLx_Fjv_c Parov Stelar https://youtu.be/twqM56f_cVo Electric Swing Circus https://youtu.be/CKWLW7WaeqA The destroyers https://youtu.be/zrNA3U1XKew 8-Brick DMG https://youtu.be/KRvmKU0_-Is
10.
elephantgrey - I note you are not tempted to upgrade your Zoom MS 60B for the B3n? Must admit, I very much am thinking of doing so with mine - I suspect the B3n will be a much more stage friendly device than the MS 60B?
Well I use my ms60b basically exclusively for always on time effects (equipment, preamp, noise gate, amp/cab SIM) as part of a board. The only need I'd have for the b3n would be modulation/looper, and I use midi to sync up all my time based effects. If it had midi, I'd probably get one for both my boards.
11. I don't think I could have a board without a bitcrusher on it. That's probably just me though. Other than that, all of my other essential pedals are due to the specific pedal. For example, if it wasn't for my ChaseBliss Warped Vinyl I would probably be fine without a chorus. I just love that specific chorus' sound. (Well, other than a tuner/compressor)
12.
Then I pretend to be satisfied...
Lies...
13.
I still need to clean up the wiring but that's a low priority at the moment.
And here i was thinking how tidy your board looked…
14.
I don't think the "everything three grand!" Shop will ever take over Poundland, everything a pound!
I dont know, the way the pound is going…
15. Link was dead for me, but here is a cached version. 7 ~effects at once is cool. Still dont think id swap my MS60b for it. Ill wait until zoom brings out a multieffects that can sync to midi.
16. I dont mind either. Especially since IME us pass people (much like sound engineers/sound techs/[s]DJs[/s]/sound guys) only really get noticed/spoken to when they mess up.
17. Zoom B1on with 5 muffs in a row? =P
18.
Boss NF1. Noise gate. No noise
Only when you aren't playing.
19. One of these? www.thegigrig.co.uk/Mobile/MBSCProduct.asp?pdtid=15357227 Would give you options for expanding (another one and a 1spot).
20. It depends on the signal going into it. It works by cutting off all sound below the threshold (a volume set by your knob). The way i set one up is to turn on all your effects before it, and set the threshold full counter clockwise. Then turn the knob slowly clockwise until just when andy buzzing/noise stops. shouldnt really be too high unless your using a particularly noisy fuzz etc.
21. I use a 6er (BEADGC), and do tend to use the C more than the B. I like hanging about the 5-10th fret possision on E-G strings, and using the B and C strings mainly to not change possision.
22. I have an Eventide TimeFactor, which is a great delay pedal. Does everything from clean digital, to tape delay. I have been GASing over a ChassBliss Tonal Recall though.
23. This is my new 'essensials only' board. TRAPco buffer > markbass compressore > TC polytune > chasebliss warped vinyl > zoom ms60b (bass drive > bass drive > b-man) > DigiTech jam man xt > TRAPco buffer > fender microDI I'm pretty happy with it for just producing 'my tone', and having my other (not even wired) board for all my fun effects.
24. All of them. At least twice. Three for the bitcrushers.
