1. A quick Google found this one: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/131698538387 [Img]http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTAwNlgxMDAw/z/K8UAAOSwFqJWk8pd/$_1.JPG" class="ipsImage" />
2. I don't think 'changing' is the word to describe the state of my board. It just seems to keep expanding, to the point where it's attracting orbiting pedals. Also, I'm a starting to worry that I'm reaching the limit of my gigrig generator, and will have to think about either getting a second one and a current doubler, or set up a second board.
3. The Chase Bliss Wombtone can do this, you can choose the start and end half's of your LFO, so you can choose triangle for the first half, and square for the second to create your sawtooth.
4. I always thought it meant a flat, thin strip or loop of material, used to protect or conceal something.
5. And my vote is in. Listening back to my entry i wish it wasn't so much quieter than everyone elses. Though with my playing that's probably a good thing >.>
6. My ex-drummer stole y 5string, so 100% loss on that one. As for loss on sold equipment, I'll get back to you when I stop being a hoarder.
7.
That's a good point. Maybe get yourself an envelope filter like the MXR, with a radical sensitivity control. That way you still get good results, post compressor.
Or one with an effects loop, so you can have it track your envelope at one part of your chain, and then filter the signal at a different part.
8. Here's mine this month Almost didn't get one recorded, but luckily(?) i got off work early today so i here it is. HB Deco 6er, through my pedalboard (not going to go into detail unless anyones super interested) and recorded on a zoom H6.
9.
What is it you are imagining when thinking of the next new bass/amp/pedal ect? Once said thing is in your hands do you get instantly better? It plays better than what you have now so perhaps it will advance you leaps and bounds? Your current gear sucks? You have a lack of inspiration so maybe this will bring you back? You just like collecting things..like a stamp collection?
I think I just like making weird noises...
10.
My usual rule is: wait a month. If you still really want it, get it. If you're lusting after something else by then, it was never meant to be.
This is a good rule. I usually end up doing this, but most of the time due to funds. Most of my gas tends to be pedal gas, which is cheaper/easier to store (on a pedal by pedal basis) but does come with a lot of boring infrastructure problems (power supplys, loop pedals, bigger boards etc).
11. For me, a big draw of preamp pedals is being able to get 'my tone' no matter what backline i might use, just by bypassing the amps pre/pluging into the effects return/DIing
12. I would rather have a 9v to USB power adapter. I wouldn't mind being able to power a midi keyboard/gameboy(for chip times)/my phone from my board's power supply.
13.
Gender fluid?
Nah, you dot want that stuff. The gel works so much better.
14. I currently have an eventide timefactor, which is a real swiss army knife of a delay pedal. I am really GASing for a chase bliss tonal recall though. It has a fully analogue signal chain, but controlled digitally. The amount of options available on my other chase bliss pedals make me really excited to see what he's done with a delay.
15. I know i've already posted my chorus choice in this thread, but I've been playing about with the controls on my Warped Vinyl. I love that thing, and i keep finding new things i love about it.
16. I like it. I dont think it will look as good when played as it does upright though.
17. Here's mine, this time sans looper ( ). soundcloud.com
18.
As software goes, Audacity will do it, and I think that's free.
This. you can get it off their website for free. I have a few DAWs, but for simply recording something plugged into my PC i tend to go for audacity. What's the phrase, good enough for the noodle comp? =P
19. Ì use GuitarPro, If you can find decent tabs for a song(s) that your practicing you can mute the bass part, and play along that way while reading the bass tab(/notation). Most songs do sound quite obviously midi, but it works for me. Other options would be to get a DAW and try and find the midi file for the song and import that.
20. How about simply a pack of tesco value noodles? =P
21. Everything i own i have brought out of disposable income. Never out of the rent money. I know that isn't a justification, but it is important. After clearing that up, my justification is that it makes me happy. Edit: i am a bedroom worrior at the moment, so basically all of my gear is "more than i need". If i was in a gigging and/or recording band I would count more of my gear as "needed", but really, i wouldn't feel like i will ever need more of a justification of any gear other than the one above.
22. One thing to note, is that i leave all velcro to settle for a day (24hrs) after attaching it to a pedal before i start using it to stick to the board.
23. Ive never had any behringer that hasn't broken on me, usually at the worst possible time. For cheap clones id go for Joyo (Harley Benton), the one i have has lasted longer than any behringer has.
