  1. To be honest I don’t really want to see it either but I’ve got yet another amp coming in (🤞). 😂
  2. The TNT 130 was my first ever bass combo when I was 15. One of the best/luckiest decisions I ever made.
  3. I didn’t think I’d ever sell this amazing combo but something I’ve had my eye on has come up and my house is starting to look like a music shop, the wife’s words, not mine. Its in really good condition. Looks amazingly cool and sounds fantastic too. What’s not to love. It’s a glorious 220 watt combo with a valve in the preamp for lovely B15’esque vibes. Really loud, never needed to go past 9 o’ clock on the master. Only downside is that it’s quite heavy as you’d expect but has castors so its not too hard to move.
  4. I PM’d earlier today so who knows but yes definitely a good deal for a great amp.
  5. Why make life harder for yourself than it needs to be. I’ve done TV shows where I had to use a TE combo rather than my rig. Was it my sound? No. Was it good enough? Yes. The only person that really cares is you. To most other musicians ‘it’s just bass isn’t it?!’
  6. I feel your pain too. I now have colour zones on my pedal board. Black pedals/psu along the top, gold/brown pedals on the bottom left and white pedals on the right with a white lead into a white P bass I even have a short white lead between the tuner and the Wah!
  7. Well I’m happy to take it off your hands if you decide to buy it! 😂
  8. Used to play ‘She caught the Katy’ in a band. My wife thought it was a great song too. After a gig she said ‘I really like that She’s complicated song’ took me a little while to work out she meant ‘She caught the Katy!’ 😂
  9. Used this at last nights gig and if I do say so myself, this worked an absolute charm. Well done me! 😂
  10. I had one. Great amps, especially good for recording with the 2 DIs. The can go quite loud with a sensitive cab like a Barefaced ST.
  11. So here’s my latest version: Think it covers all the main food groups: Wah > Tuner > Compessor > Octave > Drive > Phaser
  12. I watched a bit of both. Jools started the hootenanny off singing and playing some boogie woogie. Great pianist, seems like a good guy but wish to god someone would hide his microphone. A singer he is not. Soon as Ruby Turner got on the mic as was forgiven. Amazing voice. Put all the other singers to shame.
  13. I’m currently using an EBS Billy Sheehan deluxe pedal with clean and dirt blended together. Really nice. I also use from time to time my lovely Rodenberg 808 bass overdrive/distortion pedal which is based on a tube screamer and has a bass boost switch. Both great pedals and work well stacked together too.
  14. If you are really after a 115 might I suggest getting a barefaced compact. They are about half the price of a super twin s/h and are louder than the super compact.
  15. I had a barefaced super compact. Liked it, then bought a second. Much better sound, louder, more headroom. Had to sell it 😢 then later bought a super twin. 🥰 I wouldn’t mix the cabs if it was me because when you need to use just one cab, either one won’t be ‘right’ on its own. The modular 2 x 112 cabs is probably the best all round option. I personally like the simplicity of the 212 single cab solution.
  16. Thanks. I knew one of you lovely people would be able to help me. 👍🎄❤️
  17. Hi Guys, Recently bought a converted Ashdown Studio 12 combo minus the amp. I believe the speaker has probably been swapped out to for a Celestion one too. The cab is missing an input socket and has 2 wires with an unusual (for me) connector on the end. I wondered where you guys would recommend buying a dual speakon/ 1/4” input socket similar to the barefaced ones. Thanks in advance.
  18. I had a lovely dep gig booked 2 mins from home with a friends band. Was a good payer too. Unfortunately he hasn’t fully recovered from a back injury and had to cancel the gig. Something else might turn up but doubtful 😢
  19. Latest variation of my pedal board. 1. Dunlop Bass Wah 2. TU2 Tuner 3. S D Compressor 4. Billy Sheehan Drive 5. MXR Phase 90
  20. I believe the lovely bass player (Laura Lee?) from the band Khurangbin plays a cream SX jazz bass too.
