  1. Even with 4 decent backing singers she still sounds terrible. 😢
  2. I think it was St Vincent that had the backings singers and she was the one who forgot to plug in her gold custom signature music man guitar. Thought it was quite funny as she panicking, had a pop at a techy and the realised it was her fault! D’oh!
  3. He might have incredible but I’m sure he has had a hell of a lot of stress in his life: the death of the love of his life Linda, divorce from the one legged, gold digger Heather Mills and I would have said Yoko Ono but after watching Get Back I’m not so sure now.

  5. I think this bass looks lovely and is a bargain. Already have 5 P basses. Don’t think I can sneak another one through the door undetected otherwise I’d be all over this one. GLWTS
  6. I would seriously consider keeping the ABM600 and replacing all the other cabs with a Barefaced Supertwin. It’s the ultimate one cab solution. IMHO. It’s what I used at a festival this Saturday (mine’s a 500 though).
  7. Hi Martin, I’m interested in the micro wah. Is it any good? If so, I’ll take it. All the best, Paul
  8. Where is the thread going to eventually lead to? I’m guessing “Do you take a dump before you gig and if so what brand of loo roll do you use? How many sheets, etc” 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
  9. I think that’s very common amongst decent rock players as it acts like an adhesive between the guitar and bass sound, making one magical super tone.
  10. I use either a bit of old foam from a scouring pad, or roll the tone down/off or use the side of my palm. Seems to work well enough
  11. Not sure if it counts but I have 2 P basses with status necks. Well actually one with a status jazz neck and the other a GMT P bass neck. GMT was the original company Rob Green had before Status.
  12. This will undoubtedly mean the cost of their s/h cabs will rise too.
  13. This was a great takeaway from the documentary Sidemen: Top 3 Rules: 1. Be good enough 2. Look the part 3. Be easy to get along with It applies to you, it applies to them. Simple.
  14. Guitarists, especially average ones are ‘ten a Penny’. Decent, professional singers are not. You made the right choice.
  15. I think the bass synth wah is a good option. Currently using it as just an octave pedal but it does synth and envelope filter too pretty well. About £70 s/h. Bargain considering the amount of options it provides. There is also a built in cab sim if you hold the pedal down before you power up too.
  16. Absolutely love this. Would go really well with my Cog Family Guy pedal!
  17. Used to use a single super compact with 500w heads. Sounded great. Sounded better with 2 cabs. Needed the cash sold one. Sounded less better with just the one cab. Bought a Super Twin. Problem solved.
  18. I have had a string break, amps crap out, dodgy leads. At a recent gig at the start of the second set just as I pushed my lead into the input socket of the bass, the nut and washer fell off onto the floors and the socket fell inside the bass! I turned to tell the guitarist what happened. He looked shocked and said “what are you going to do now!” I said “nothing” just smiled, leant across and grabbed my spare bass! Pays to be prepared.
  19. There are some good Robert Kelley videos online explaining compression in great detail. I never used one until recently. Just makes it sound so much better. Wouldn’t be without it now. if you’ve got the money get the Cali 76, if you don’t grab a s/h spectracomp for about £50. I managed to pick up a lovely Seymour Duncan studio compressor really cheaply. They are great too. Good luck.
  20. There you go. Save you guys having to look it up.
