  1. Here is a set of s/h of La Bella deep talkin’ flatwound bass strings. These are the 1954 original vintage 52/73/95/110 James Jamerson bass strings. I bought them to go on a new build bass but in the end put on round wounds as my other P bass TI flats on it. They are in good condition. I never actually used them but the previous owner did. Looking for £22 + £2 postage

  3. Here I have 2 Hipshot A style chrome bridges for sale. They were to go on a new bass build for my birthday. I bought the first one from eBay on a punt as I couldn’t see how many holes were on it on the photo and the seller didn’t respond so I took a gamble. Unfortunately it had 4 holes but wanted a 5 hole version to line up with the bass body. I then bought the other one here on BC a week later. Myself and my bass tech then decided that as it was going to be quite a vintage looking bass, one of the original fender bridges would probably look better. So that was what we did! D’oh! Each bridge is £50 including postage.
  4. How is this amazing bass still here? If I had the spare funds I’d be all over it right now. Andy is a top bloke too!
  5. Think this may have been one of mine. It was in immaculate condition when I sold it. Guessing it probably still is.
  6. Yes ours is still going ahead. Just got a message saying can you learn these 2 Beatles songs for tomorrow. Not impressed. Too last minute. It didn’t go down well when I said I’ll learn one (Don’t let me down) if you learn one I know (Come together). It’s probably going to be my last gig with this project (my choice). Been with them on and off for 5 years. Time for a fresh start.
  7. Thank you. Tom made it for me about 5 years ago. He is a massive Star Wars fan and I love family guy so I thought why not combine the two and make a Blue Harvest pedal. The first in the family guy/star wars trilogy episodes. We had planned to make all three. The next one was going to be the something, something, something darkside pedal. Overdrive, distortion, fuzz and octave. Unfortunately Tom is currently no longer making pedals but if he does, I’ll definitely have to get it done!
  8. I’ll be playing a gig at a local pub 2-3 minute drive (0.7 miles). They haven’t got a late licence for the band so we have to finish by 11pm! Going to try and pack up as soon as it finishes and get round and watch a friends nye gig round the corner and have a beer🤞🍺 Think it will also probably be the last time I play with the current band. I’ve been in it 5 years on and off. Not going anywhere, so time for a change next year.
  9. Here is my latest version. Boss TU2 > Digitech Bass Synth Wah > MXR Phaser > Rodenberg OD/Dist > Sansamp Programmable DI > Cog Custom Reverb/Chorus
  10. I remember trying to start a conversation with my wife’s best friends new boyfriend. Always a challenge. Anyway, so I asked him if he was a music fan. Yes he replied ‘I love Coldplay’. I lost complete and utter respect for him with that one statement. I mentally got up and walked out of the room.
  11. Think you can buy a cradle for it to sit in. I guess you could Velcro it on a board. The guys from Anderson’s like it if you want to google it.
  12. I’ve got an EHX crying bass fuzz wah. They are ok. Can pick one up s/h for about £40. Will get you most of the way there for a fraction of the cost.
  13. Think you might regret selling it. You should probably keep it.
  14. Have you considered a short scale bass instead?
  15. Update: The new lead from Fender has just arrived!!! Thanks Fender (especially Ben for sorting by it out!)
