1.
Ooh, very nice... but it's pics or GTFO on this forum
Yep, wot he sed ^
  2. My favourite band. And a big get well soon to Jet.
  3. Have had it happen live before, not always though.
  4. Most of what's been mentioned have been in our set at some point. They all go down well. Swords, no more heroes, London calling and hurry up Harry have always been bankers for us to get the punters jumping.
  5. Well done mate, thats great news
  6.
Last time I played a venue with a noise limiter the bass kept tripping it so I kept having to down down and down and down until I could barely hear the amp so I just switched it off and ran direct instead. I hate those things.
We had exactly the same thing at a wedding last year. Hate them with a vengeance. The bride and groom were pleading to the hotel management to turn it off but were told that it would disturb the other guests. Ironically, every room in the hotel was taken up by wedding guests
  7.
Sorry Dave but we, the collective, will NOT allow you to retire. You will have to come up with a much more sensible plan.
Very much so

Just brought some P Bass covers from Mark. Great communication throughout, super fast delivery, top Basschat geezer
  9.
Thats not to say they are better, just good enough to use in any situation.
^ This, Ive got a 50's and a 60's, they are just good gigging basses.
  10.
I've used DR Fat Beams before which have no wrapping at all Steve, so I think it's probably OK. Unless you think it looks weird, of course... I don't think it affects the sound or playability, though.
Cheers Mark, I usually use Slnkys which are unwrapped, but then I saw this on Rotosounds site http://www.rotosound.com/string_guide.php Its in the Please Note paragraph.
  11. Put mine on this weekend, they feel different from old, not as rough, and Im sure they used to look darker. They went on my Squier CV, and I did notice that on the E string it looks a touch too long so part of the unwrapped string is going around the tuning post. Anyone else noticed this? They do sound good though, nice and full.
  12. Is this still for sale? Or I could offer a one year old post as a trade!
  13.
Cheers Raggy. I see you're from round my neck of the woods. When are you gigging next?
We're in the Boundary House this Saturday. PM sent.
  14. Im using a Mex built Roger Waters P and the build quality and playabilty is top notch. Ive tried US P's that were dogs and some were sublime. For the price difference, I dont think the US ones are THAT much better than the Mex ones. IMHO. I also picked up a Squier CV thats really well put together.
  15. Have a BUMP on me. I have one of these and I think its great.
  16.
The last one, Suite XVI was excellent - a real hark back to classic Stranglers material.
Agree with that, it had some great tracks on. I will be buying it tonight
  17.
Its seems its almost obligatory to roll of the lows
I dont
  18.
While changing the battery on my stingray, Guitarist - Ooh, i never knew bass guitars ran on batteries? Me- ........(speachless).......!
Now that is quality
  19. That's right lush.
  20.
Raggy, your whole signal path looks pretty damn amazing! I can only imagine how good it sounds!
Just one more thing to add to it Dood (a Hartke Kilo i thinks) then i will be a happy Raggy. Oh, that and a trip to Shukerland
  21. Just had the pleasure of dealing with Rich. Probably one of the quickest transactions on Basschat Great communications throughout and the scratch plate arrive perfectly and well wrapped. Cheers mate
  22. Cheers Richard, I will let you know when its here
  23. Ive used mine into small in-house venue PAs and into massive rigs and the engineers have not complained so far.
  24.
Fantastic pups. Nicely scooped with plenty of low end. DiMarzios have some serious kick in the output department. If you do choose them you wont be sorry. (I think they're available in the new solderless format thingy)
Low end is what Im after
