2.
Well you've convinced me.
That's kinda what's swaying it for me.
 3. So my Berg 412 is up for sale soon and I am going back to 2 15" loaded cabs as I am looking for something more modular and I like 15s. I have narrowed it down to the above two cabs. Have tried the Genz 15 and liked it very much but have not seen or tried a Compact. The Compacts are half the weight, a fair bit cheaper and as Alex seems to know his onions and specialises in bass enclosures should be engineered and perform extremely well. The Ubers have tweeters (not that I have ever used one or felt I needed one, but you can always turn them off/down) which is an extra feature and Genz seem to make some very well respected bass products. How a cab looks does not really bother me, I have normally got my back to them but I know some on here have commented that the Compacts have an almost unfinished look. So any info would be very helpful. Ta
 4. Very smart. Not getting one if I have to start playing a Vigier though
 5.
I had a very similar experience to the OP. The shop is great and I had a wad in my pocket, but no way was I giving any of it to that moody grump.
I had exactly the same thought the last time I went in there. Wouldn't even buy a set of strings from there now.
 6. Tried the RH450 out on several occasions because I really wanted the features but it just didn't have the shove and bottom end I was after. I preferred my LM3. Does seem strange why TC have gone so quiet about it since the one response.
 7. Picked one up from on here a few months back and its been my go to bass ever since. Am currently changing hardware on it, (not that there is anything wrong with the existing hardware) have just added black Hipshot tuners (and a D-Tuner), got one of those black Babicz bridges on the way, then an East P-Retro. Its strung with La Bella flats. For me, the neck is great, the slightly wider spacing suits me and how I play (sloppy), not sure if I personally notice any difference with a brass nut especially using flats, or rounds for that matter. Works well in my band for the punk, ska and reggae we play with a little twist of the tone control and switching between pick and fingers. Very pleased with it.

Ive had the overload LED on my Streamliner 600 come on a few times.
Mines always coming on, it worries me sometimes

 20.
It's not unheard of. If you can get a hold of some liquid screw lock then fine, if not put a wee drop of clear nail varnish on the thread and crank it up.
Was hoping you would come along. I'll give it a try. Cheers
 21. I recently bought a Roger Waters sig P Bass, and am really liking this bass. As usual, I am a fan of black hardware on basses so I am going to be replacing the tuners and bridge to black ones. I have been using the bass in the meantime and it is strung with my normal La Bella 760FM's. I really dig in when playing, be it pick or fingers, thats how I have always played and it gets the sound I want. If I play with a light touch it does not sound the same. But every time I have gigged the bass, the saddles drop on one or two strings, nearly right down to the base plate at some point through the gig. Usually the E and sometimes the D string. Its like the grub screws are turning on their own and dropping the saddles, (no haunted bass replies please ) I have got the bridge off and am looking at it, the saddle grub screws turn freely, but I would not say they are overly loose when turning them and the threads are all good. Has anyone seen/heard of this problem before, cause I'm stumped. So for the time being, it looks like my poor Frankenstein fretless is going to be robbed of a black Gotoh 201 for the time being, because finding one in the UK at the mo seems to be harder than finding some rocking horse sh*te!!! Cheers
 22.
I prefer the black one........
That does look fantastic If these play nice, i would be very tempted sell my herd, buy two white ones, spray one black and fit rounds on one and flats on the other. Sorted
