5. Monkey SpankyRay
6. Should it say Trade MRRK on the headstock?

9.
Hi mate, have a chat with Marky L who owns my old one or Deep Thought, the other BC owner of a JJB (I think) My recollection is: very high quality hardware, wide but slim (comfy) neck, unfinished maple board (not heavily lacquered, which you may or may not prefer), reasonable weight (c.9 pounds), very punchy (custom wound) P pickup, beautifully put together, and with a gloriously thick gloss black coat of paint Basically like a US Fender but better
Nice one mate, i will send a couple of messages out. Cheers for the info.
10. Precision basses just really seem to work for me and the music I play, and I do own a couple, have tried several other brands and styles of bass, but always come back to these. These are a CIJ, a MIM, a Franken and a couple of Squier CV's. All good basses in their own right, I feel. I have tried one of the new American P's and was quite impressed with it, and from reading a lot of posts, if you find a good'un these are very good basses. So in a fit of GAS and self indulgence, I was thinking of getting a top of the range P Bass, but the price of the AM P's are pretty high and not really that far off of something like a Shuker JJ Sig (who happens to be a big influence), and from the few posts I have read about these, they are a step above the Fenders. I know they are only one pickup, one volume and one tone knob, but thats where I'm at, and thats all I need. So why not have a real pukka one So any comments or advice on the Shuker would be most welcome. Ta

12. Total legend, big influence.
13. I love P Basses. Wouldn't buy that tho!!!
14. That is stunning. Congratulations
15.
For me, this bass is more iconic than any Jaco or Wooten original bass.
Totally agree with this.
16.
PS, if interested the price I was quoted for a 5-string in American walnut with an ebony fretted neck was £4,100 (out of my league I'm afraid)
See, thats dream bass number 2 right there, but at even at a quarter of that price I would be to scared to gig it in some of the pits we play.
17. Just bought Gary's Roger Waters P Bass from him. As advertised it was in absolutley mint condition. Met up in the usual BassChat meeting place, a motorway service station car park and could of spent ages chatting bass. Great bloke to deal with and a true gent. Buy/sell/trade with total confidence. Cheers Gary, all the best. Steve
18. Totally agree. A Precision Bass works just right for me.
19. I think....... quite possibly..... maybe after Saturday I very well could be GAS free. For a little while at least GAS is a cruel Mistress

22.
None more stealth! Great job there mate and the decal must make you grin every time
Cheers mate.
23. Finally have managed to put this together from spare parts and sourced parts. Body was a MIM P, neck is a Mighty Mite both from evilbay. Got the decal printed by Rothko and Frost who did a great job. The rest came from my bass bits drawer. Am really pleased how it turned out, but it might be a few months before I have got the bottle to play it live
24. To me, that is the nicest bass I have seen on here. Great finish to it. Good luck at the hospital Sam.
