1.
Ok ok, now you done that, MISSION 2!! Shave the ends off and make it fit round the soundhole of a Spanish classical guitar
I'd love to but my woodworking skills are not up to serious mods :-(
 2.
I'll have it please. PayPal?
Pm'd
 3. ...ah (lightbulb moment - sorry long week!)
 4.
don't act like you're not impressed...
yep...you got me there
 5.
I fitted one of these ramps onto my bits P Bass - works a treat and if anything, gives me MORE attack!
6. Wowsa that was pretty speedy, congrats!
 7. There was a ramp on the geddy jazz I got from McGraham and I kinda liked it, I then sold the neck and had a new one fitted by BassDoc that's fretless and the ramp doesn't suit so well now as the action's that bit lower and it clashes with the strings now, I also like to dig in on fretless... On the fretted neck it made me play nice and smooth, I seemed faster too somehow maybe it's because I was controlling my picking strength more? either way I no longer have a bass that it will fit so my ramp is for sale, fits a geddy jazz perfectly and should fit any jazz with 70's pickup spacing
 8.
Paint a Newcastle United badge on it
...confused am I
 9. This is way more gorgeous than the common/'garden black version that everyone seems to have! and the condition looks glorious!!
 10.
Fair enough!
11.
Could always sand the underside down.
could do, but that'd feel like I was 'turning a faded fresco of Christ into a badly restored picutre of a beast' and somehow spoiling Jon's work...also I like to dig in a bit when I play and ramps don't really allow that...I just don't think I'm a ramper
 12.
I can confirm it'll press-fit between 70s jazz spacing BUT NOT 60s jazz spacing. Great ramp this. Shame it doesn't do it for you!
It is a lovely little thing, really cool, it's just a bit too high for the action on the new neck so the strings dont have any play at all...
 13. just been asked to add some dims for the ramp...so I've measured it, if y'all want any more info let me know and I can do some more measuring "the gap between the pickups is, I believe, 70's spacing(?) and the ramp measures a very consistent 85mm from front to back, ie the gap between the pickups on a Geddy jazz is marginally over 85mm cos this fits super snug inbetween them"
 14. I used to love my eden WT800, the sound was killer through the 410XLT and 210XLT that I had! I think you need to put a value to your trade nowadays matey
 15. This was made for the shuker neck that used to be on my Geddy jazz, now it has a BassDoc fretless neck it doesn't allow me to dig in enough and is a little high for the super sweet low fretless action that BassDoc's managed to produce...consequently it's for sale as there's no going back to the fretted neck since it's no longer in the country! Beautifully made and shaped little thing, fits precisely between the pickups on a Geddy jazz, no need for velcro or screws, friction holds it in place perfectly! There a little shaping underneath so it fits snug to the body around the end of the scratchplate here's what it looked like when on the bass: DPP_2179 by andydye, on Flickr I have no idea how much one of these costs to make so initial price punt...£30 inc uk shipping? (if you think that's way off price wise do pm me rather than haggle in the thread...ta folks!)

 23.
Since sending you the S1 BottomE and despite loving my NXT4 I have come to realise that I can't live without a fretless electric bass as there are just some songs that won't work on upright, so...I will be properly joining in with this thread as soon as Bass Doc gets back from holiday and fits the new fretless neck on my Geddy Jazz! DPP_2247 by andydye, on Flickr ...a little teaser shot
I have it back now! It's superb to play! I've never had a jazz like it!! Will take pics when I get chance as without them 'it never happened'!
