1. Spectacular!
2.
Excellent amps. Really versatile, very simple to operate, but can be used in much more complex setups if desired.
Thanks matey
3. SOLD...one excellent Blackstar 100W all valve head in pristine condition (belonging to my good guitarist friend)! The blurb: "I'm selling this great amp as I'm not getting the use out of it that it deserves! Has been well looked after and just had a service by a local amp tech, is in 100% perfect condition. The amp is fantastic for anything from shimmery cleans, Plexi-type punch or more modern high-gain styles, and thanks to the ISF control can cover both British (Marshall, Vox, Orange) to USA (Fender, Mesa) tones really well." Web address for more info is here: http://www.blackstar...s/seriesone100/ "Series One 100 - A two channel 100W amplifier Built on the rock-solid foundation of the classic 100W EL34 power stage, this amplifier sets new standards for clean and crunch tones. Two channels and four footswitchable modes, complete with ISF, include the amazing Super Crunch for the biggest, crunchiest tones yet heard. The DPR control allows power to be reduced to 10W for studio and small venue work, while a series effects loop and MIDI switching further expand the flexibility of this professionally specified amplifier." [s]£600[/s] [s]£550[/s] £500 + shipping - they're £800-900 ish new in the shops (local collection is of course more than welcome cos it's not little or light!)

5.
Words only go so far, don't they If you'd like to borrow SFT / BB / VT for a bit let me know!
Absolutely matey regarding words, you've given me a good and thorough description of how each has worked for you, but I still can't tell how they'd work in my context...I feel a bit like a blind man trying to learn colours... I've tried YouTube vids of both but none doing a direct comparison so each is done very differently and therefore isn't really comparable... Krispn is sending me his BB to try, I would really appreciate a short borrow of an sft if that's ok? Thanks for your help in trying to describe sounds with words!
6.
From another thread, in which this question was asked of someone else :
Thanks for trying to describe them both...still not sure which would suit... I'm using a genz shuttle 9.0 so it's a clean crisp basic sound with a valve preamp. I'm wanting to do 2 things, the first is to add a bit of gritty sparkle while retaining the full sound going into the pedal and the second is for good old dirt but not fizz or fuzz...
7.
Thought an SFT i was borrowing Would beat my BB but no!! It's a beaut!
How would you describe the differences and similarities between the two as they're both on my 'try list'?
8. Maybe someone should do some bass tone sims too, obviously not ricken#@$&er though cos that would be naughty!
9. Oh my that looks superb! Speedy progress too although I guess he's got loads he can't finish yet so he's cracking on with what he can ;-)
10.
Tested the pedal last night for the first time in a month and it seems to have stopped working. Hence withdrawn.
Bobbins mate!
11. Are any of them localish to you? Trying before you buy is really really helpful as all necks and hands were not born equal!
12. Gav is a top bloke who's a credit to bc! Deal in confidence folks (as if you didn't already know that)
13. OctaBass sold pending too. Happy weekend all!!
14.
PM'd
Replied and MultiDrive now sold pending
15. Beautiful! one of my dream basses, hope someone buys it soon for ya matey!
16. this is a lot of amp for the money! I love my shuttle 9.0!!
17. This is beautiful matey Sad I don't have the cash to splash
18. Welcome matey! Secondhand will generally get you a better bass for the same money as a new one! I'd recommend the squier VM / CM series, they get a lot of good words on here and appear to be cracking basses for the money (even new!), I think there are a few on here for sale too...
19.
You asked for it! Please note: this is purely to demonstrate that the instrument exists and that it works, it is not a demonstration of proper technique or "how to play the Krappy and get laid". Apologies to all tappers out there for this crime against your craft. john
Mate, it looks like a hell of a skill to learn, it's definately beyond my 'available time capacity' at the moment (and for the forseeable future) but I would love to learn it one day! It is a great price for a superb way into the world stick-ness!
20. Nice playing indeed matey, Lovin the sounds too! Filter twin is now on my gas list thanks to you!!
21. Superb! Really gorgeous matey!!
22. If postage were possible I'd have this for sure matey...
23. That's great news! I feared this would never see the light of day!!
24. If you decide to sell I'm interested matey! I have a variety of other bits for sale/trade in case any interest you...EBS MultiDrive perhaps?
