1.
Nah, he's done loads of other stuff.
...after a quick google...indeed he has!
 2.
To get it into perspective though, he was 19 years old at the time, it was Virgin Records first album release (so it could be argued that it helped fund future signings), has sold somewhere between 15M and 17M copies and has regularly popped back into the album charts. (No.66 last year). If I had a track record like that then I don't think I'd be hugely worried.
does that make him the top one hit wonder of all time?
 3. That's a beautiful thing!
 4. My new 'cheapie' G&L tribute JB-2 arrived this morning from lookat.com in Spain (http://uk.lookat.com...2-t-sunburst-rw)... Such a bargain price for what is a £700 guitar! Despite it being packed in cardboard and being very cold from the vans and warehouses it's travelled/stayed in it was perfectly in tune and played pretty well straight out of the packing! It has an acoustic springiness that knocks every Fender I've tried into a cocked hat and a seriously solid feel due to it's 6 bolt neck attachment and extra high mass bridge! I'm really looking forward to plugging it in this evening to see how it's electrics sound but acoustically it's cock on! Here're a few shonky phone cam pics to prove it exists before I get my proper camera out: These are seriously amazing for the money, especially at 'lookat.com' prices!!
 5. Mobilesheets is precisely what I was looking for! the only slight improvement Icould see for it (so far) is in the editing of set lists, it'd be good to be able to drag and drop songs around in the set list rather than having to make a new one
 6.
It's a universal PDF reader that you just import your files into, don't get what's so hard about that? And the 6th tab on the bottom, first picture. http://www.zubersoft...eets/about.html Song Metadata MobileSheets allows you to create songs using image files or pdfs. These files can be on the tablet (including images taken with the tablet camera), or imported from your PC using the companion app. Each song in your library has a title, artist, album, instrument, difficulty, source type, and audio file, allowing you to enter as little or as much detail as you want to organize your library. You can also select sections of pdf files to create songs from, allowing you to break up one pdf file into multiple songs in your library.
Awesome! That does look v good indeed! Can't believe I missed the super important bits when trying to read it before! Thanks matey (and thanks for patiently pointing out what you'd seen last time too!), I'll have a closer read about it.
 7.
can't help with the solution but I would say you want to create a 'playlist' of .pdfs as you would in media player etc.
succinct and precisely what I meant to say! ta matey!!
 8.
Don't use android but is this not what you want? https://play.google....ft.mobilesheets
Lots of good features but it's another app where I'd have to reinput all of the songs into their format, I want one that takes a pdf that's already made (std universal format) so I don't have to recreate 70 files. Doesn't look like it does the set list thing either
 9.
I have an app called Documents2. This is linked to my drop box. I can then download pdf's from my dropbox. So I make a pdf with the songlist I want and download it to ipad.Swipe from page to page as required.

Just realised you want it for Android. Have a look at "Documents to go" https://play.google.....docstogo&hl=en
hhmmm, I have pdf reading software it's the next part of the function that's missing from them all...I have all the pdf's (one per song) already on mem card, what I want to be able to do is to create (and save) just the setlist in the app (based on the app compiling a list of the pdf titles in the song folder) and then for the app to open each indivual pdf in turn (and in the right order) rather than me having to go and find each one at the end of the song... does that make sense? I know in my head what I want it to do but describing it in words doesn't seem that easy (today)
 10. ...oh, and I've had a good look at the apps available and haven't seen one that lets you import pdfs, they all seem to be 'chords only' and 'enter the chords yourself' type things...
 11. I have 60 or 70 songs (chords & words) in pdf format that I use for reference during our sets, I'd like to start using my samsung tablet rather than printing the sheets out and carrying a large folder of paper so here's the app idea... I have a folder on my memory card containing all of the pdf's; The app looks at that folder and populates a list of all the pdf titles; I select the songs in today's set (in order) and save that as a setlist; During the set the app brings up the relevant pdf (preventing the device from sleeping); moving to the next song is by swiping/tapping the screen; there's a 'during the set' menu available to modify the set to accomodate ad-hoc changes; My current alternatives are to... create a gig specific pdf of all the song sheets but this doesn't allow for ad-hoc set changes, or, I can spend a few moments inbetween songs (when I should be changing bass or f/x settings) faffing to find the next pdf via the folder list on my tablet, or, ditch the tablet idea and carry on with the folder of flappy paper!
 12. 'I love my octamizer' type bump!
 13. no problems with Mel at all, simple easy transaction, ta chuck!
 14.
Kind of
we'll sort out that telephony thing so you can get an idea how it sounds, I really need my sound engineer mate to sort me out with some sound recording capability!
 15. That G&L is stunning! and so cheap too! Not that much more than the tribute version of the same but looking so much more classy!! have a free bump!
 16.
BassDoc has added a beautiful fretless J neck with Hipshot ultralite tuners which, coupled with the 70's pickup spacing gives a thrilling fretless burp like no other fretless I've ever had, I've gigged it once and it was brilliant! If I could I'd keep this one too... It's got a set of Labella 760fl flats on it too and they feel amazing, lots nice than the Lakland Joe Osborn flats I put on my Highway One P!

So, what does the bass sound like then??
I have no means with which to produce sound samples and my mate is unavailable for assistance just now...it sounds like... bridge p/up = diamonds on the soles of her shoes if you have the tone up and smoothness with the tone down both = that jazz quack but with pleasing mwah neck = nice and thick but still with the fretless character the ebony neck and dimarzio model j pickups really work well together to bring out that fretless sound! Hope that helps a bit
 17. Dan may be a newbie around here but he's just bought my Highway One P-bass, all communications were prompt and friendly, payment was precisely when he said it'd be, no problems at all! I'd certainly deal with him again. Thanks matey! ...and don't forget to introduce yourself properly to all and sundry in the 'introductions' forum: http://basschat.co.uk/forum/3-introductions/
 18.
whoops!
19. Yep, OBBM all the way!
 20.
I'm in Gloucester.

any pics of the hybrid case? and where are you based for collection?
She's in Gloucester mate
 21. That looks really nice mate! The vintage guitars/basses we used to stock when I worked in a guitar shop a few years back were a bag of s**t, that one looks really classy! The neck doesn't look like balsa either! In short, it looks like the bass I wish I'd had when I started learning cos it's way better than the one my dad bought me!!
 22. come on folks, this is all good gear at 'pocket money' type prices! I've got my schaller straplocks coming!!
 23. someone buy this sweet looking t-bass in p/j set-up, it's a beaut!!
 24.
An "I'd have this off you, if only I could sell mine" type bump!
Thanks matey! good luck on selling your Schecter Model T, it looks sweet in sunburst! I know it's a few years old but are the spec still about the same as the new ones? SD basslines pickups, alder body, etc...real classy!! Oo, the controls on your are nicer than on the new ones! a stacked knob! nice!!
