1.
...Edit: MRSP is $4200, which is about £2600-2700.
That's...er...pricey!
2. Very nice! Not my cup of tea with the Jazz width neck but what a looker! CLICK HERE Regards, Jon
3. What a great video. Love the Guys jamming and looking cool at the end As mentioned - What a shocking lack of 'elf & safety!
4. Love it Alex, Keep 'em coming! Regards, Jon
5. You're going to have to use 2 units, as you've said. If there is something that does what you want I've not encountered it (I work at a TV studios doing lots of Light Entertainment so see lots of devices) Cheers, Jon
6. Any pictures?
7. Nice little story and pics WHUFC BASS!
8. Bass Doc - That's a beaut, Well done!
9.
Strange, I`ve e-mailed them twice for advice, and neither message was replied to. And it was about items they stock, not just a general enquiry.
Hi Lozz, I know from experience the email service can be a bit crap so I would recommend phoning for immediate help/advice. Regards, Jon
10. I've not dealt with them myself but I put a clueless Guitard friend of mine onto them and they sorted him out quickly and professionally!
11. For me I would like to see: Active and Passive separate input sockets, Gain - Mild break up from half way onwards, Bass, Middle, Treble, Master Volume, Power Scaling knob (a la Marshall AFD100/London Power. See: HERE) 200 Watts Power stage, 2 x Speakon outputs, 2/4/8 Ohm Switch, FX Loop with Level control pot, XLR D.I. out with a Pre/Post swtch & a level control, Auto Bias circuitry (a la Marshall AFD100 amp), The Power Scaling would cover the requirements for lower volume with all the valve sound for recording/small gigs, etc. edit:Spelling & forgot the D.I. out!
12. It's £1,169 at Digital Village... http://www.dv247.com/guitars/fender-60th-a...ion-bass--82157
13. Why didn't you offer it all here first? You may have got a sale and avoided all the fees!
14. Hi Lozz196, I would, in your shoes, take Bill's advice and then go for option 4 on your list if need be. You then get the fun of trying out some other cabs on a mad GAS fueled mission! Regards, Jon
15. Hi LukeFRC, I would recommend MarkBass amps. I have a SA450 and it's a great sounding amp with the great features of the VLE & VLF knobs that may do what you want. Good luck! JTB
16. Have a BUMP on me. Another lovely bass.
17.
Hi Jon. Well the pc cab is within the volume limits for the 3012. I still need to compare the 2 before I change the other ( fromn celestion to eminence ) I'll let you know.
I'm not telling you what to do but I'd look into the speaker changing scenario properly with an expert - Have you seen the thread on here about the guy wanting to change an Ampeg speaker? Sheesh - It's a complicated thing! I only say this as we wouldn't want you to waste money, time or be un-happy at the end of it all. On the Ohm rating front - Either way you connect you need to have the amp on 4 Ohm. Cheers, Jon
18. Frequency ranges of the mic's may help a potential buyer woolz...
19.
I beleive it is now illegal practice to stipulate age/gender limitations in employment ads.Surely they would have ran this by the solicitors before posting here.
Does it apply to a band though? (Serious question)
20.
...I'm using two purple chili 1 x 12 cabs, 300 w each, but I've changed the speaker in one to an eminence 450 w - 3012 LF.
Hi Fryer, On the speaker changing subject have you checked, either yourself or with an expert, that those P.C. cabs are any good for the 3012LF speaker? I ask as I went to put some of the 3015's in a cab and was told don't bother. The analogy I was given was 'It's like putting a Ferrari engine in an old Skoda' i.e. it will work, but not very well at all in that enclosure. Regards, Jon
21. Have a bump on me Bass Doc. I can't afford it but like it a lot. ATB, Jon
22. Bill said this earlier in the thread:
The only factor purely attributable to cone size is dispersion. Everything else is based on driver specs. Well explained here: http://www.eminence.com/resources/data.asp
23.
...A friend built a 4x12 for his guitar playing son, including what he called a 'sweet switch'. The son greatly prefers the sound of the cab with the switch engaged. Unbeknown to him so doing turns off one of the vertical driver pairs.
Love it!
24. Phil, If I were you I'd include the Tab. Why limit any sales potential! Cheers, Jon
25.
...However, the first gig with my new band Rattlin Bone was a blinder (maybe 200 people, dancing and singing etc). If my gigs are more like that in future well, blimey, I am really looking forward to them
Maybe that's what I've missed/am missing. Never had that experience!
