1. I have had exactly this problem and yes they can rattle. Sounds like the tweak has done the job for you, which is good because when my bass's t-rod was rattling it was because it had snapped inside the neck You could tell because the adjusting nut was solid and would not move at all.
2.
RIP Jeff, it is a sad day for metal.
+1 to this.
3. In your boat TDL I would be looking at doing a video with decent sound to it.
4.
If he's that close I'd go over and knock on the door.
Ha ha, yes that would be a good thing to do first!
5. I think you need to look up and talk to your local Citizen's Advice Bureau ASAP as there may be time restraints on taking action. Someone on here will know more I'm sure....?
6. Just to resurrect this one a bit - I put a set of Nordstrand P/J pickups in my bass (with the split coil jazz) and had the out of phase thing going on with both volumes up full. I reversed the wiring on the Jazz pickup and Robert is my Father's Brother! Thanks Guys for the indirect help. Cheers, Jon
7. List price looks suitably high
8. Just make sure the Speakon is inserted & twisted so that it click-locks in...
9. Hi Whistler, Where in Hertfordshire do the band rehearse please? All the best, Jon
10.
For me the big problem is lugging them up tenement stairs. My 2x12" is lighter, goes through doors more easily and has the right proportions for the boot of a Fiesta! If I lived on the ground floor and played places that had parking, I'd be happy with a good 4x10".
Almost the exact same problem for me BotB! As chris_b said - "thank God for neo speakers" And I would like to add "and Alex @Barefaced!"
11. Anyone know of a release date yet for these yet? I'm fancying the VT Bass rack mount unit for filthing (is that even a word?) up my MarkBass SA450
12. Guys, go for it! How cool would it be to see a BC'er get this gig
13.
Thanks! I almost recorded a version with me sitting there not playing anything at all, to be more accurate
Ha, ha! Yeah, 'Justice for Jason' needs to be done with a nice modern re-mix IMO.
14. Just watched all of that chrismuzz and some great playing there fella! Well done - Blackened indeed \m/ \m/
15. Just - WOW!
16. How very sad What a drummer. I got to see him a few times at close quarters when he was in my guitar teacher's band... RIP Clive.
17. Nice pair Thumbo!
18. I bought Martin's Mesa Boogie M6 Carbine off him and it was a most pleasant coffee, chat and purchase! Thanks very much. ATB, Jon
19. The manual is available from Mesa Boogie's website as a PDF: http://www.mesaboogie.com/manuals/Buster%20Bass%20200.pdf Cheers!
20. I do like those DM basses and the signature is in a good/discreet place. As for adding value it would be luck and in the wallet of the beholder
21.
Contact them on Facebook, they're usually pretty prompt to reply on there. If you're not on there, shoot me a PM and I'll give you a direct email address. Eude
PM'd!
Hey! I don't think the preamp has been designed for overdriven sounds. My Spyder still sounds clean with the gain up 'till 3 o'clock. It still doesn't distort after that, I just don't like the way it sounds. I use a passive Fender P by the way.
Thanks for the info EH.
22.
It has the same preamp as my Spyder 550, which I absolutely love. I imagine that those 4 KT88's can only make it even better. I'm really tempted to get one of these babies too.
EH - Does it do valve overdrive sounds can you tell me and is it 'mild' or 'wild' distortion out of it can you tell me?
Can't help with the ad, but can verify that Ashdown's email inbox is the online equivalent to a black hole.
Hamfist that's useful info and I will try and bell them today if I get time! Thanks Chaps.
23. I would like to try one of these but can't find one anywhere. I've emailed Ashdown but had no response so far. So, Anyone got one. Is it good? Any info much appreciated. Cheers, Jon
