1.
A Matamp GT200 and Barefaced 69er Not in any way practicable, but would love them.
+1 This would do it for me if I had the funds but more importantly the storage space!
2. Ha ha! I'm after an all valve amp again
3.
Don't tell her, she'll probably never notice. If she asks; "Is this new?" Look at her incredulously (but don't over do it) and just say "no, I've had that one for years."
This, exactly this
4.
...It's just a f***ing entertainment show man, it's got F*CK ALL to do with music, I wish people would remember that. Music's the conduit for the entertainment, the contest, nothing else. A successful recording artist like Leona Lewis is a byproduct, a bonus...
+1 Nail, head, hit!
5.
If we reach 70, do we hit a Limiter?
A big valve driven brick wall type, yes Thanks bluejay, and I did have a peruse through the list but couldn't see anything...
6. Anyone going got an Ampeg SVT-2 Pro they could bring for me to try with my cabs and basses please?
7.
Speaking of which...we don't have a colour scheme for the other sites yet. What do you think...replace the orange with blue and keep it a little brand consistent? Or go for a completely different look?
I'm in favour for a bit of brand consistency and look but with different colourings.
8. All this just reinforces my thinking (and with a personal experience from a different instrument maker) that no matter how good a Luthier & their reputation is they still turn out the odd pig and can be pretty shocking with their after sales care when there is something fundamentally wrong. I think it's fair to judge a person/company on how they deal with things when they go wrong so I am keen to see what Jimmy C does with this one!
9. Something sounds very wrong here - Is the pickup wired out of phase somewhere/how? Worth checking the wiring first as it's easy fix if need be.
10. I have one of these and love it! A great amp at a good price. Good luck with your sale.
11. Saw this vid a while ago and while not great it might give you some ideas?
12. Can you not get the seller to organize shipping and you transfer the money to cover it? It does seem unusual that you are having to sort out shipping from here in the UK...
13. Wow - What a gig to have played! Well done and glad you enjoyed it.
14. Nice bass at a very nice price! I have a USA Lakland and the build quality & playability is just fantastic so whoever goes for this will be in for a treat. Cheers, Jon
15. My 5: 1. Lakland USA Glaub P w/rounds 2. Fender USA Precision w/flats 3. Fender USA P/J w/rounds 4. Fender USA Jazz w/rounds 5. Wal Mk.1 w/rounds. Again I'm another that doesn't have number 5 on that list, but one day I will!
16.
There is another Chandlers in Hampton Wick, just over the Thames from Kingston. No criticism of that one, and no idea whether or how they are linked. Which one did you use Bassman Sam?
From what I understand Chandler's in Kew was owned and run by Doug & Charlie Chandler. Doug got divorced and left/lost the shop during that. Charlie then also left Chandler's in Kew with some of the tech's and set up Charlie Chandler's Guitar Experience in Hampton Wick. Some of my friends & I have had work done in CCGX and can highly recommend them.
17. MarkBass amps can be made to have series FX loops with a simple jumper move inside: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/156445-markbass-lmii-effects-loop/
18. I bought Dylan's MXR M87 Bass Compressor pedal off him this week. It was a fast, smooth deal with great comm's and I have nothing but praise for Dylan. Many thanks, Jon
19. Hi Dusty, As long as the equipment you're looking at works in Channel 38 (606-614 MHz) or the free to use bit of Channel 70 (863-865 MHz) you will be fine. Start with a read through this: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/10362-wireless-system-licensing-guide/page__st__40__p__1668981__hl__wireless%20licence__fromsearch__1#entry1668981 ATB, Jon
20. All the best on your big b'day Mate. Cheers!

22.
It's all about gorgomyte. Amazing stuff. Brings up the frets to a mirror like finish. On a Warwick in Particular they look incredible. Give it a spin, I've sworn by it for years. http://gorgomyte.com/
+1 for Gorgomyte
23.
Nile was on 6 music this afternoon and said his sound team found a way to re-route the stage mix through front of house so that the gig could continue. He also said it was the first time in his career he'd ever known the PA to go mid gig.
Sounds like the FOH mixer crashing/locking up/dying to me...
24.
I intend to email a few special guests with an invite
Can whoever tapped up Laurence Cottle for the Herts Bash ask him? I know it was a bit off the cuff but what a great little talk and paying demo he done!
