Well I Googled it and it turns out he is quite the producer after all: http://www.spin.com/...-feature-kanye/ Doesn't change the fact he's massive dickhead though.
to quote from that article.... Since then, Yeezy has obviously grown more loquacious, to the point where his lyrics and quotes have become such an integral part of the pop vernacular that you can echo him regularly without even realizing it. But every now and then, he’ll still offer a beat to a worthy (or occasionally less so) contemporary without speaking on the track, just to remind us that even if he can change the musical conversation with a single line, he hasn’t forgotten which half of the rapper/producer equation he made his bones with. bet whoever wrote that is back-pedalling furiously after the glasto-train crash - that or in hiding in argentina or something
 2.
The only thing that really bugs me about his is how often he doesn't ask permission when taking other peoples music to sample, seems to prefer letting the lawyers sort it out when the original artist is made aware.
Surely you wouldn't expect an artiste of such overwhelming creative genius to be bogged down and stifled by such mundane and tawdry matters? On a separate note .... Mr West, I predict, will, in the not too distant future, when there is not much going on in the news (or possibly some news of grave importance from which us Plebs need distracting,) experience a 'britney style' meltdown of monumentally epic proportions

 7.
I don't understand why guys who have clearly invested huge amounts of time learning their craft, and big bucks on their gear, don't appear to have spent any time learning how it actually works! Bizarre, or is it me?
i think this might apply to quite a few bass players too

 18.
Many thanks fretmeister, can anyone give a comparison of the two sound wise, even if just preference. Am seeing a 5 string sterling sub up for £200, ... but is quite far away, so don't want to travel to buy if it is not great. Thanks
regardless of which bass you eventually go for at this level it is usually a good idea to buy local enough that you are able to travel if you can and try before you buy
