1. I really don't pay attention to a lower based amp, in a brand, if it won't work as I need it to. It just worked out for me that the Super Bassman head has sound I wanted through the SVT-410HLF.
2. Wow! Way to go. Congrats man. I really think you're going to like the TC setup. I used two BC212 cabs with a RH450 head. The BC212 cabs really kick. Have fun man.
3.
Beautiful! I wonder if they make a fretless 5 too.
I think they do a five string fretless also.
4. I used a full stack for a bit, and it became to much. So I down sized to a 410, and a head. Much better, and the second cab isn't missed at all.
5. The Am. Std. also comes standard in a hardshell case, not a gig bag, like the Standard. That's about a $150. upgrade in favor of the Am. Std. The Am. Std. string stems on the head have a nut on the front of the head of each string stem that locks it in place, where the Standard is held in place by the four screws on the back of the head on each tuning key assembly.
6. Check how the electrical power is, where you are playing. Is it possible you may have power fluctuations where you play? the Super Bassman may be draining power on it's own.
MIM body with Schaller pickups, stack knob wiring and a Squier 70s Jazz neck. A mutt in every sense! Looking GOOD!
8. I was trying to use a 4003 in a Nashville studio, and it didn't cut through the mix. Luckily, I had my Am. Std. Precision along for the ride. The Precision was magic, for the studio cuts. My Jazz would have been ok, but in this case the Precision had the sounds they wanted, a real thump.
9.
I now know exactly what I want, an American Precision in red with a maple board and rolled edges (do they all come with rolled edges?) I would just keep my mex for a backup and sell everything else. But that's just me...
Am. Std. have rolled edges. A nice touch.
10. Congrats. I like my Ampeg cab also. Looking good man.
11. I lost a friend. RIP Jack.
12. I'm in the US, but I had a G&L SB-2 made up for myself a couple of years ago, and it cost about the same as a Fender Am. Std. Precision, or Jazz. Quality made Axes.
13. I sold the BC212's to a friend.
14.
I love the fret boards on these newer Rics
Rickenbacker is using a Caribbean Rosewood now for the boards, in place of the former African Rosewoods. The change over I think was just over a year, to a year, and a half a go. There a-bouts.
15.
Fender 1978 US Precision, Fender MIM 2008 Precision. Into Boss TU2 Tuner, then Tech21 VT DI, signal split into: Markbass CMD121P combo & NY121 ext cab, and Markbass Little Mark 3 & Club600F32
Looking really good Lozz!
16.
My '73
Very nice!
17. I added the 4003 Midnight Blue Ric to the mix.
18. The Super Bassman head is a replacement for the RH450 head. I just changed out the TC E 2X12 cabs for the Ampeg Heritage SVT-410HLF cab.
19. I changed out the 2 2X12's for the Ampeg SVT-410HLF.
20. If it's in prime shape, OK for 600.
21.
That Super Bassman looks great!
Thanks, I've been wanting to go back to a real tube amp, since I guess I sold my Traynor head in 1972. Great to play through.
22. I'll take the TC Electronic BC212 cabs with a Fender head.
23. I was using a BC410, then tried a BC212 with the BC410. It turned out I liked the BC212 sound better. Sold the BC410, and ordered the second BC212. I don't miss the BC410 at all.
24. I use a pair of BC212 cabs with a Fender Super Bassman head. The 12's hold their own with no problem.
