1. A Jazz sound, about any early Blue Cheer song with Dickie Peterson on bass.

Congrats on the RW Precision. One of the finer Fender MIM Axes. Best of playing with it.
  3. 2, TC Electronic BC212's are my choice, with a Fender Super Bassman head.
  4.
Tape wound strings all the way, love how they feel and sound.
On the Tapewounds,
  5.
I`ll be betting that gets some great sounds. Did a recording through one of those once, all eq set at noon, fantastic sound.
Hey Lozz; It does song great. Along with the two Jazzes, the Pawn Shop Mustang is a kicker with it's Humbucking onboard.
  6.
That top is in very good condition...how old?
It's brand new. It is a beast at 65 pounds. But it sounds so good going through the 2 2X12 cabs.
  7. The Super Bassman is 300 watts.
  8. This little dude always has a main speaker out plugged in before anything starts up.
  9. The horizontal stack works ok with a 65 pound head up top.

  11.
I just can't help but love the SG shape.....how does It sound with those strings?
I really like the sound. It gives a good mellow tone, with a great bottom.
  12. Markbass claims the LMll, is a LMlll head without the the top panel on it.
  13. The newer MIM Standards are close to the MIA Standards, but the Am. Std.'s are a bit cleaner over all. The boards are a bit slicker, and there is a difference in pups, and electronics in them. The Mexican Standards don't come with a gig bag either. The Am. Standards come with a case.
  14.
That's a great, neat looking rig. I've been toying with the idea of replacing my Ampeg 410 with one BC212. The Ampeg is 4ohm and to be honest I don't really need the amount of volume it can chuck out. I'm just wondering if the 212 would be enough though as I'd only be putting 180w through it max.
The BC212 cab is 8 ohms, 250 watts. I really like having the fuller sound of the two BC212 cabs, even at low volumes they have a nice full rich 4X12's sound. Use one, or both, they sound great. I like it better than lugging one 4X12 cab around.
  15. You've got the right head, just add two TC E BC212 cabs to it.
  16.
This was a nice stack:
Show off. Just Kidding! I'm razzing ya' cause I'm 5' 5" on a good day. That's a vertical stack of TC E's. Very nice.
  17.
For those who dig 2x10 combos... Just don't look. x SUNN BetaBass 100w 2x15"Combo + HenryThe8x8" Waking'up my neighbor's neighbor's neighbors. Yes, with only 100W. That's my idea of Downsizing.
That Sunn is a work of art!
  18.
I think Eminence speakers are a really nice match with Fenders, prob why I like Ampegs so much.
A good number of cabs do come with Eminence. The one other bass speaker I'd choose would be JBL's. Jensen was never a bad bass speaker either.
  19. That would be impressive to do 3X212's. A little boom to it.
  20. I really don't need any more volume. It's cool though being back using 12's again.
  21.
4x12 certainly will be louder then the 4x10 and size wise not much different on the TC BC cabs. The good thing about this is you can always use a single 2x12 for smaller gigs and use both on bigger ones
Absolutely. I can also add another BC 8 ohm cab to the stack if I ever wanted to also.
  22.
I take it you replace your 4x10 with the 4x12
Yes, I replaced the BC410 with the first BC212. After a day or two with the BC212, I decided to go with the second cab. The 212's are 8 ohms, the two brought back the setup down to the 4 ohms the 410 had. Sound wise, the 412's sound as good, or better than I anticipated.
  23. Either 1 2X212, or 2 2X212 TC Electronic BC212 cabs. They are reasonable in price, well manufactured, and sound great with the Eminence speakers.
