1.
Cheers matey I never thought of that ,err 4 ohms cab then ,I may after get rid mb then and go with the full tc setup, cheers and all the best kev
A good thing about the BC410, it's a 4 ohm, 500 watt cab. So if you ever did go to a RH450 head, the BC410 can be used in conjunction with either a BC210, or a BC212 cab. One of the two 2X, not both 2x cabs plus the 410. http://www.tcelectronic.com/rh450/
2. Either add another 8 ohm cab. Sell, or not use the 8 ohm cab, and get a 4 ohm cab that will do 600 watts as your head puts out to.
3. No need to defend yourself, Gibson has been hot, and cold on QC. A few years ago, I had some Fender Am. Std.'s that were just plain Lousy also. Like I have said, lately the Gibson Basses I've run across, have looked, and played very well. For the price Gibsons go for, they should be damn near perfect. And not to forget the favorite unmentionable, Rickenbackers too.
4. If players payed attention to what every Axe expert out there has to negatively say about every other Axe, no one would be playing anything. Thanks for the kind words gents. I really am getting attached to this EB 2014, as well as the other two Axes I have. Gibson may just have a very playable bass, if enough players get a hands on play of the EB's.
5.
You`re becoming Mr Gibson with that collection!
Hey Mr. Lozz; the Gibsons got my attention. I can't shake the sound from an SG Std. The EB 2014 is slowly becoming my every day, every play bass. To me the EB neck is very similar in shape and feel as the Ric 4003. A very friendly go to feel. I've been playing Gibsons on and off since 1969. Why not.
6. As far as a head goes, I like using the TC Electronic RH450 head. It works well with the BC410 cab. The BC410 cab may be a bit much to carry up, and down stairs at @ 59 pounds.
7. I've been very tempted to do a TC Electronic BC212. My BC410 is a monster for sound though. If you do like a 210, the BC210 would work well with 250 head. One thing to consider though, if I'm correct, your MB250 head is a 4 ohm. One 8 ohm cab isn't going to have much power to it. That's what I like about the BC410, it's a 4 ohm cab, that matches up well with a 4 ohm head.

9. "Ashley" plays and sounds better than the EB 2014 I played in a local store. An amazing overall sound. Lows, Mids, and Highs sound fantastic. The neck is very comfortable, and fast. Good job to Gibson. I don't miss the Fender Jazz bass that the EB 2014 replaces.
10.
Hello people, keep getting drawn to tc elelectronics 250 cab, couple question before I decide whether to buy or not, would it suit my mb 250 head and are they any good for live performances,? Cheers kev
What TC Electronic 250 cab are you referring too?
11. If you do buy, or are looking at a Ric from an authorized Rickenbacker dealer, and may be serious about purchasing that Ric, ask to see the Rickenbacker carton that the Ric Axe and case was shipped in from the Rickenbacker factory.
12. I couple of players I know using Schecters, really like them. If you like it, go for it.
13. I had a Squier Precision a few years ago that was ok. It didn't hold up as well as a Standard, or an American Standard Fender. So just stayed with a regular Fender. Your choice though. Similar to the choices of Gibson, or Epiphone.
14. I've had G&L's with no problem from the head design. I thought it was a final mark of Mr. Fender.
15.
Those 4003s certainly need coaxing/encouragement from what I`ve read, but once you get them there, well I think they sound awesome (though never had one myself, only heard others getting great sounds from them).
I really like a 4003 Ric strung with the ETB92 Nylons. From one bass to another, Ric's can be a challenge to get the sound a player may want to achieve from that particular bass. I really think my Fireglo I have now has the sounds I prefer.
16. Different, I'll stick with the old style designs.
17. The Markbass is good quality, playable gear. Best of playing with the new gear.
18.
For me Fender & Markbass amps suit Precisions far better than the other basses you have, and TC have a great sound so good choice there methinks.
Hello Mr. Lozz. Good to see you as always Sir. I agree with you also about the sounds of the TC fitting the three Axes with twin pups each. The Jazz, and the SG Std. aren't as picky as the 4003. If a 4003 sounds decent through something, you've won half of the battle.
19. Hi gary mac. Yeah, it's been a wild ride for a bit. It came down to playing, and liking the Jazz more, and wanting to get the SG Std. Sooooooo,……………. the Precision is outa' here. The TC E stuff is really where I'm at for sound with the three I'm playing.

21. I had an SG Spl. that I returned, because the frets were way to rough, and high. Other than that, it did play well. I sold a Fender Precision I really wasn't playing, and purchased an SG Std. Walnut. Same size, sound, and playability. The frets are right on though on this SG Std. They may not all be like this one.
22. Thanks guys. The Heritage Cherry is the traditional SG (EB) series. I've played a few since 1969. Mainly EB0 models. If Gibson ever reissued the EB3, that would be the one to sell off what ever it would take to get one of those. It's just nice having a different look to the old standard.
23. I went back with the TC Electronic RH450 head, and the BC212 cab. I just couldn't get the sound from the Fender gear.
