  1. Is the Ratio knob on the 1176 knotched or free moving? I.e. can you have it somewhere between 20/All In, or are they 6 distinct positions?
  2. I've tried so hard to like the GK model, but it just doesn't work for me. I think I'll just have to admit I don't like the sound of GK amps! I'm glad to know other people can make it work. RE: the brightness of the Ampeg captures - 100% agree, it sounds to me really high in the upper registers. That said, when I've put them in the mix they sound fantastic; I ran a gig a few weeks back and had all the bands bassists going into the QC (I gave them the option to go DI from my TC rig, but I think they all wanted to have a play with the QC). With a patch consisting of a bit of compression and one of the Ampeg captures, I actually ended up boosting the high mids even more for some of the heavier numbers; it sounded absolutely monstrous! I even had a couple of people come up and ask me what the bass players were using because it sounded amazing!
  3. 7 months of problems caused by a loose cable, how painful!
  4. This is such a cool piece of Overwater history, I wish I had the funds/need to pick it up!
  5. I wish none of you lot had pointed out the lower horn, I thought they all looked quite good. Now I can't unseen it
  6. We bought a couple of guitar amps last year that both blew pretty much immediately. Andertons were suitably surprised and helpful in getting them replaced; I've never had a bad experience with them over the years!
  7. As with anything, I think we need to take anything Andertons says on these as they are the European distributor. Still, Cici and Lee both seem like standup people and I doubt they say anything that isn't true
  8. Andertons video up now for those interested
  9. I've only heard (both figuratively and literally) good sounds about the Digbeth range. Crazy low price point too for the sound
  10. The old TC electronic RH450/750s do an excellent emulation of a tube power section
  11. I got to check this out when picking up some gear from Heathy, and it took a lot of willpower to not walk away with it too! Beautiful example of what a Warwick is supposed to be, GLWTS
  12. Holy zombie resurrection thread, I assumed they were talking about getting an early Christmas present, not one 5 years ago!
  13. Absurd bargain, stop dropping the price or I might have to buy it
  14. Just dropped round Steve's to pick up his RS212 and RS112 - really lovely guy and could have chatted with him for hours had work not gotten in the way. Buy with confidence!
  15. I hope so, this new update seems to crash every few minutes for me, and the bluetooth connectivity seems to have taken a dive too!
  16. I've just realised the desktop version of the DG suite doesn't pull through the cab sim updates (nor the nicer UI); checked it out on the phone and I'm pleasantly surprised to see some new ones on there!
  17. Which update? I haven't seen one recently, unless you mean the one with the Orange and Markbass IRs?
  18. I'll do a quick recording tomorrow so you can hear for yourself
  19. I feel like I'm missing something, because this feels like a mega bargain! If I'm in the area and this is still up (an unlikely combination) I'll take this off your hands
  20. Please, I've been trying to not buy a P5/P5R for the last two years, I don't need you writing things like this!
  21. I wish I had a need for this, it is so ridiculously cool
  22. I have one of his Sadowskys, and if it's anything like that then this thing will be incredible
  23. It's so absurd that this is not sold yet
  24. That is a bargain and a half, glwts
  25. Ha, that's exactly what I've done, except it's why I've got the pedal version! I'm running the DI2112 into one of the send/return loops on the QC so that I can just drop it anywhere on my "virtual rig". The QC makes for super easy load in/load outs too
