  1. Oh boy, that's a stunner; I can't imagine it will be around for long!
  2. There is an argument that the frets vibration would be affected by the wood they are embedded in, but surely this would be too small to be discernible (in my opinion) compared to all the other variables that make up the sound. Hell, I don't know why one wouldn't consider something like "room humidity" to be a important variable to sound!
  3. Man this would make a great friend for my BO...
  4. I've just changed the pickup height on my Thumb BO to the "Warwick recommended" height, and it feels like a different instrument. They had sunk over time as the springs had been replaced with foam, so were really low down. Other than volume, it feels more responsive? It's probably psychological, but I am so happy
  5. Humans are rubbish at understanding their own biases, and I expect nothing less of expert craftsmen either. It's like how violinists are adamant that Stradivarius violins are somehow of a different breed of instrument, worth millions; yet we're unable to reliably differentiate them from their modern equivalents in a blind test.
  6. If a horse hadn't decided to try and use my car as an obstacle course I would be all over this; glwts
  7. I look forward to the recording with great interest, I have a special place in my heart for Overwaters
  8. They don't come up for sale often because they are incredible - no-one who owns one will sell!
  9. Couldn't agree more. The amp is such a great bit of kit, it's such a shame they cheaped out on such a fundamental part of it
  10. Yes I should probably have mentioned, because they are interference fit, you really need to shove them on!
  11. Yes, they should fit too - I also picked some similar up from Mouser and they fit: https://www.mouser.co.uk/ProductDetail/5164-1106WA
  12. These bad boys: https://www.mouser.co.uk/ProductDetail/5164-1230-L
  13. I run an RH750 for all the reasons that make this pedal great; if I didn't I would be all over this pedal - GLWTS
  14. I'm going down the glue route; I've got the replacement shafts, I just need to find 10 minutes to get around to doing it! I actually really like the "new" look from the white faced replacement knobs, and they feel a lot sturdier too!
  15. TC told me that I needed to send them the amp for a full "service" in order to replace the knobs. I've instead started replacing them with completely different ones that fit the same stem for pennies! I just need to replace the snapped stems now...
  16. One of the best pre-amp pedals on the market, absolute bargain and would have bought this if I didn't already own one - good luck with the sale
  17. These are so good; built like tanks too. I've only just managed to kill mine after about 15 years of abuse! If I can't get it back working again, I might be back with an offer!
  18. I know it's cheating to post two, but Francis Rocco Prestia had such an influence on my playing I can't not post it:
  19. Haha, that's amazing!
  20. Man you guys are nuts, I boost the mids on my 3 band Stingray if anything. It's fretless though, so that might be part of it:
  21. Reading this thread is making me realise that I should probably get an external compressor too...
  22. That's pretty cool, although I'm not sure the TonePrint works on the RH750
