  1. Great pedal boards, I use one as my main; good luck with the sale! Do you also have the rubber/plastic cable holders?
  2. Our response was "go ask the organizer", thinking that she would shoot him down. She just turned and gave us a thumbs up, so we hurridly threw together a chill jazz rendition
  3. Whilst playing with a jazz trio at an office garden party: "Can you do Sex on Fire?"
  4. I'm in love with your synth sound - the guitarist not so much!
  5. Oh man these are great basses, glwts
  6. It does, it's just not defeatable; I have the VT Deluxe and it's not defeatable on that either!
  7. Key differences for me: DI 2112: * Two parallel channels - so you can do the "driven top end, clean low end" sound, or as I'm currently using it to give a super warm saturated tone with a punchy underneath. * Each preamp has it's own output so you can let the sound engineer combine them as sounds best, or blend the two in the box and send them one output * Sweepable mids * Ridiculous amount of tone shaping potential in a single box VT Bass Deluxe: * Does the Ampeg sound, and does it well * Simple to dial in a good useable sound * Footswitchable If I don't know what I'm playing ahead of time I'll probably take the VT, as I just 'know' the settings to get a great sound, whereas I need more time to tinker to find the sound I want with the DI 2112; I'm sure that will change as I get more familiar with it!
  8. I've just removed a load of stuff from the board, but this is essentially the ampless set-up, with the DI 2112 being interchangeable with a VT Bass DI depending on the gig:
  9. I can attest to the paint on these pedals coming off for absolutely no reason; mine looks like it's been on your for 15 years when it rarely leaves the studio!
  10. Just bought a DI 2112 from Bill and not only was he quick, he provided a bit of tech support too! Buy with confidence
  11. I'll take the DI 2112 please!
  12. Oh man, I own the "Deluxe" version, but the thought of a blend knob and speaker SIM defeat switch has got me thinking...
  13. I need to try and convince our studio we need an 8x10...
  14. This is such an amazing deal, I'm going to pitch it to some of my students/students parents who need something a bit better than the Gear4Music garbage they've been using for the last 5 years...
  15. Absolutely fantastic amps, but I'm amazed you've got so many knobs still attached! GLWTS
  16. Oh man, sorry for your wrist; that thing is incredible looking and I wish I was in the market
  17. I bought a Darkglass Element from Dan, he was very communicative, prompt, and easy to buy from; buy with confidence
  18. If I didn't already own one I would pick this up, fantastic pedals
  19. I think the fact that you could hear people going "that's just the same bass again" when they switched between an Epiphone Thunderbird and a Rickenbacker 4001 is all you need to know!
  20. That looks nuts, I love it! One of my students has a bass like that, but it's from Gear4Music and I don't think it's intentional...
  21. Bought a Hypergravity Mini compressor - they sent it incredibly quickly and covered far more of the postage than they needed to - great person to buy from!
  22. Wood recently did a trade with me on my Bongo 5 for his Spector Euro RST - excellent communication, very accommodating, let me have a play of some of his more obscure short scale basses whilst being offered constant tea!
