I missed out on these when this thread was originally started (limited 5 string sets) but received a pm out the blue last week saying they have a set with my name on. Just home after a few days recording. Will get them put on the ACG for the next rehearsal/gig Looking forward to trying them out. Some great feedback so far.

I've used the TC and it works better than the other ones I've tried but still not anywhere near as good as its pedal equivalent. I also have a (free) app on my phone called DA Tuner which I find to be better than any clip on tuner I've ever used.

The best bass I've played was only made last year. And I've played a few old instruments. Including a 58 P-bass which was easily the worst bass I've ever played in every respect.

I'm selling one of mine just because money has became too tight to really consider keeping it

Money no object I would probably go for a Carl Thompson or a custom Dingwall Z3

I kind of like the fact that they take a few months sometimes. Gives me something new to look at over a longer period. Rather than just reading it once then that's me done.

I think the Stingray with the yin-yang finish is much nicer looking than the Fodera.

There is quite a number of videos of Victor Wooten on YooToob with a fair amount of cock ups. Everybody messes up from time to time.

My justification is that I like having nice things.

Back when I had a jazzman I had a similar issue and found that the pole pieces were just too close to the strings. Adjusting the pickup height sorted this right out.
