1. I loved mine. Great to hear that the power supply is now a 9v standard type. If it helps, I never once used the headphone bit; It was all about the drive and EQ for me. Looking forward to seeing the products!
2.
It's nigh on impossible to narrow it down to one song. Can I just nominate the entire back catalogue of The Beautiful South?
No
3. A bit of Afro/psychedelic/disco/funk in the form of William Onyeabor - funny, funky and odd. Also quite impressed by Venetian Snares; quite Squarepusher but more orchestral. Interesting stuff.
4. Unsold at £155. I'd have been tempted at £99 as I'm a Glock fanboi - Maybe just to leave at the rehearsal studio.
5. I had an EA iAMP350 combo which was 1x10. It paired up with a matching cxl110 cab. Good quality rig, but heavy by today's standards. Very hifi clean and lots of EQ options.
6. I use a big cabinet because I use a lot of low/sub frequencies and want the headroom. TBH it's only really at rehearsal where I need this - at gigs any amp will do as the work is done by the PA/monitors.
7.
Just thought - you aren't planning on running the head without a cab and just a DI are you? You will still need a load on a valve amp...
No, I checked that earlier - he's going to run a cabinet as well as the DI
8.
Oooh! Cheers chaps. That's what I want. I don't really want to be spending over £100 (preferably less than £50). Anyone used one of the cheaper ones, like that Millenium one?
"integrated switchable resistor network for extremely high input level" sounds promising. Will you be using a cab as well as the DI? If not, as mentioned above you'll need to be sure that the DI presents a dummy load in order to keep the amp happy.
9. I may be wrong, but it sounds like you want to connect the amp's speaker out to the DI? not such a good idea for the amp or the DI. You could connect the bass to the PA via the DI, with a through signal going to the amp for onstage valviness. BTW there are plenty of options to get a DI in the UK. I use a Radial Stagebug
10.
I have never downloaded or streamed anything. I like to be able to hold my music.
To be pedantic, listening to music on YouTube is streaming
11. That's great thanks for that
12. I've had a quick search and think I may be being a bit optimistic, but thought I'd consult the hive mind: Our keyboard player has a Loopstation and mentioned that if I got a looper pedal we could midi sync and have all sorts of live fun. So, is this possible for someone with circa £150 budget? The smaller the better too.
13. I ain't hiding by Black Crowes: http://youtu.be/3IqllAhBKdM
14. Only selling so cheap as I dislike having unused gear gathering dust, and my new bike build is costly! £55 should pay for a fork service, which I need more than an interface.
15. Fyi the the link requires me to give permission to allow Google Photos access to my files - pretty offputting! Maybe embed photos instead?
16. I genuinely thought that this thread was about a type of effects pedal! Glad I popped in though as CD Baby is just what we need
17. The best example I know of is Freebass, a short-lived collaboration between Mani, Peter Hook and, erm, the bassist from the Smiths. The band in the OP seems very jumbled to me (and the clank/fretnoise does my head in) but here some thought has gone into keeping the roles separate, it's not three basses in the same register, all playing at the same time, all of the time, like three stoned bass players at a rehearsal studio. Here's a dubby track with the other players noodling a bit over the top: http://youtu.be/jhRv2xrlCPU Saying that, most of the album is just mediocre indie rock My conclusion? Multiple bass player bands tend to be an idea that they try to make work, rather than being a format which is naturally conducive to creating great music. All good fun though

19. Thanks for the comments! Apparently there is a revised vocal version on the way, an instrumental mix and a dub mix too. We also recorded two other tracks at the same time - one more dancehall and one more drum n bass. I'll post them here too when the masters come back

21.
I wouldn't bother with the Maze unless you fancy being 3rd band on a badly organised multi-band evening.
Maybe it's a genre thing? We play there to some cracking crowds, especially when supporting some better known touring acts
22.
Interesting, I think I'd probably assume at this point that it's Japanese, as you say, due to the power socket. However, Taiwan labeled pedals have been known to contain Japanese PCBs, and so it may be an older Japanese part in a Taiwan pedal. Even if that's the case, it would certainly make it a transition pedal I've marked it on the 'Lost serials' part of the database Cheers for embracing the geek in me haha Si
Thanks for the info - Good to know
23. Looking at the original listing again, it seems to be different to the one pictured. See how the paint on the 'Octave' has worn off on my one but not on the one in the listing! Perhaps he sent one of his other six!
