You're in prison in some far flung bannana republic, and to win your freedom, the commandant has told you to excecute one of the fellow prisoners he drags from the cells.
They are Johnny Borrell,Liam Gallagher, and Axl Rose.
He pulls his service revolver from his holster and hands it to you.
Sweet liberty is only moments away, until you realise the depths of your jailers sadism.
There is only one bullet.....

They're all utter bellends, but at least Liam and Axl are in good bands
Thrashing out songs from the likes of Metallica, Kilswitch Engage, System Of A Down, Avenged Sevenfold, Machine Head, Alter Bridge, Slipknot, Stone Sour, Rage Against The Machine and many more!
Come and have a beer or 10 for Easter Saturday
RIP
Sad news indeed for a man who's had such an impact on every rocker out there. I remember going to an Yngwie Malmsteen gig and he randomly brought Jim out at the end after singing the praises of his wonderful amps

All those are powered by a Johnny Shredfreak, dead silent unless i crank the hell out of the dirt pedals, but that's a given
Nothing too disastrous for me thankfully (yet!)
A few times during soundcheck I've panicked at the lack of output no matter how hard I turn up the master volume on my amp... Only to discover that my lead is on the floor instead of plugged into my bass.... Stupid stupid stupid!
I once brought everything to a gig as usual... Bass, pedalboard, amp, cab, leads... Well... All leads except the speakon. Pretty odd considering my rig is always set up at home so I must had unplugged it then just thrown it on the floor :S thankfully the bassist from Collision Process offered to go and fetch his... And even let me borrow his Barefaced S12T! So that worked out pretty well

He has, he's bought a Peavey Grind 6. It's difficult to find an easier-playing 6.

True dat
Dude it took me about a year to be brave enough to gig my 6 for the first time, sounds like you're doing well! I'm actually more at home on a 6 string these days but still love playing the old 4 banger as much as I can
Strangely enough because I too went from 4 to 6... I am absolutely hopeless on a 5 string! What's with that ?
That's the most unlikely but amazing story I've head in a long time! Congratulations on finding her again! And props to the eBay seller for being so helpful
My Peavey International 4 string. First bass I ever owned and its still the best! Soundwise, it's like a Stingray with a top end rollof, and its passive! Only cost me £50 too
I paid more than this for my markbass 4x10! Never thought it was anything other than money well spent. Whoever comes to their senses first and buys it will be very happy
My first proper amp was the R5, the older version of the RB7. Even with the stock speakers in it was absolutely brilliant and if I hadn't been able to afford my Markbass rig I'd never have gotten rid!

not that this will help much, but i paid £180 for my 6 string Grind on here, which i reckon was a great price. Such well made and great sounding basses.

You git! Mine cost me £250
I play in a few metal bands with 2 guitarists and very enthusiastic drummers. My passive bass goes through a 500w Markbass head and an 8 ohm 4x10 cabinet. I use a lot of pedals but none of them boost my volume at all. So essentially I'm getting 300w of solid state goodness. I've only ever turned it up past halfway on one gig and hardly ever use PA support. So that's what... 150w that im using? And I'm always getting sick tone and plenty of volume
So er, that's a vote for markbass!
I get mine from Newtone, I just worked out the tension and gauges myself using a chart I found on the Circle K site (cheeky I know!) they are amazing and 2 sets of 6 stringers cost me about £65 incluing postage!
I use them on my downtuned 6 string, it definitely feels and sounds more even across the strings, and I'm convinced it keeps the output level a bit more consistent, so you're not using a different technique on the lower ones as opposed to the higher ones. You wont notice the benefit so much on say a 4 string I don't think. Definitely worth a try though!
I use Whirlwind cables. Very high quality, durable, and a lifetime warranty! Very expensive though. If I was a member of BC a few years back I'd have probably gone with OBBM's cables aswell on the strength of all the glowing reviews by everyone else here
