1. It would be cheaper to get one of these, and covert it yourself and still save a grand. Incedently, this fwas the first 'proper' bass I had. I got it from my mates mums Littlewoods catalogue. 2. I auditioned for a band once. The outgoing bassist was in attendance for some reason. They wanted me to learn 'Are you gonna go my way' by Lenny Kravitz. I worked it out in a few minutes, including the little chromatic runs during the solo, when I overheard the bassist telling the drummer 'He,s showing off!' Turns out he didnt/couldnt play that bit
3. What bass does he currently play? My idea would be to get a similar, albeit newer model of that bass, as he is used to playing one, and knows what he can and cant do with it.
4. Which of these is still available?
5. 'Kid' by The Pretenders. A nice exercise in walking basslines which I very rarely play these days.
6. Is that the pub by Northfields station? I didn't know they did music in there? I will pop by if thats the case.
7. I hope that was a cheap copy!
8. I cant see the video, I can only hear the music. It tells me I need adobe flash player, but I already have that. It sounds good to me after only 4 months?? Wow!
9. We tried to a cover of the Stones' Gimme Shelter, but we couldnt get it to flow. It just went on and on and became a bit of a dirge, so we dropped it in the end. Some songs sound good on the record but sh1t in a rehearsal room.
10. Nice story! If I ever see my first bass again, I,ll pour petrol over it and light a match!!
11. What type of strings does he use?
12.
Now I have three this weekend....
Took a while, but I got it in the end!!
13. A Pender?!! Everyone knows that there is only one original! - the Bender in my avatar!!
14. I look at the original key, and if it does not involve a bottom E, then I will try to transpose it up or down the neck using the old II-V-I numbering system. If you know how to use this system, then it saves you having to work out the notes the long way round.
15. Is there no end to that mans talents?
16. Well, you have the weather for it!! Have a great day all of you!!
17. Too true The only work i,m getting at the moment is playing line dancing tunes to the old folks at the British Legion. Still, its work.

19. Timothy B Schmit from The Eagles, uses Carvins in addition to his 1960 Fender Jazz, on recent tours.
20. I started on bass, but I found it easier to understand it when I learned a few guitar chords. I,m quiet a proficient guitarist, but I still prefer the bass.
21. Well, she's faster than most and she lives on the coast - T Rex, Hot Love.
