  1. "Tramp on Chips" ? I'm sure I supported them once.
  2. No fair ! Look at the size of his hands !
  3. Mrs Pook watched the Beach Boys one last night, after coming back from a few Christmas drinkies. I think she narrowly avoided a 'little accident' she was laughing so much.
  4. The only one that springs to my mind is the SIMS Superquad
  5. Not with that dodgy transformer....again and again
  6. A Dulka Prague Away Kit.
  7. I was watched an old Open University maths programme the other day and I came up with "Allan Solomon and The New Integration" I may have to form a band just to use that name
  8. In an ideal world the sound of the bass DIed would be good to hear- a bit like when you get to hear the bypassed tone before an effect review.
  9. The guitarist will know what they're playing....why not ask them ? It's what I would do ! It's not supposed to be a guessing game A few pointers like "We'll start with E then up to etc etc" will get you going and you'll not be so nervous of playing the wrong thing. Keep at it - you have to learn how to jam and it can feel like everyone else knows what they're doing, but it's often not the case.
  10. Is this sold ? Thank god, I very nearly had some explaining to do when my wife got in from work
  11. Yes, here's one https://www.guitardaterproject.org/epiphone.aspx Yours is in there, but I'll not spoil the surprise !
  12. Maybe it's because there are 5 of him. It's pretty intimidating - shades of 'Village of the Damned' when they all look at you.
  13. The band was called Kyote. Glad to hear Mahonie are still at it.
  14. Ah yes, I forgot Billy Mahonie. They were indeed fantastic, I may just have to listen to some now... The band I was in at the time supported them once or twice, ahem.
  15. I guess we'll have to wait til Christmas Day....
  16. Do you think there's a real double bass in there, or can you get special stunt double basses from window display companies ?
  17. Am I the only one who read the thread title as 'Dirty Robert Smith' ?
  18. Me too I'm afraid, they're amazing musicians, but not my cup of tea at all.
  19. The Cure frequently used a bass and Fender VI at the same time.
  20. The text of the convention is available on the UNESCO website - if answers some of the questions posed above.
  21. Sounds like you handled it perfectly, nicely done - do let us know what happens next. Oh, and the John Martyn sounds like a lovely way to unwind
  22. Others I know of...Tortoise, Ganger, and of course Rothko had 3.
  23. Great band, I remember being very much into 'Mettle' at the time. Shall I ? Go on then
  24. I use Firewire - my desk/interface is about 8 years old and when I bought it not many units allowed all 8 inputs to feed into the PC as separate inputs. It's starting to show it's age now, so a change may be in the pipeline, not sure what I'll go for when that happens.
