1. who's james corden ?
2.
If you notice, cos they have lost the top horn, the strap button has been located above the neck plate, which equals horrendous neck dive, rendering the bass unplayable (I have experience from this from a 'custom' stick P bass). Anyway, my best offer... £F**KALL
neck dive on a submarine bass ?
3.
When i had a massive blister on my middle finger, my ring subbed in and was fine, cept it was unused, so it ended up with a blister too.
well, if you treat an unused ring that way, what do you expect ? must have raised a few eyebrows in the audience.
4. if the pickups are feeding a preamp then will the output impedance of the replacements be much of an issue ? i'd imagine the pre would have a nice high input impedance. i think...if not i'll get my labcoat
5.
My new one:
lovely.

9.
Back in the days of Guitar for the Practising Musician, guitar heroes were a plenty. Then gunge came along and did away with all that.
then why are guitar shops still full of people w***ing on egg slicers ?
10. i am the replacement.
11.
I would never have carried on until that was sorted, if it was as bad as you say it could have been fatal! Surely it needed sorting? What about next time? Dangerous
plus the serious face one.
12. i'm open to reasonable offers on this now - i really want to avoid ebay if i can
13. i have an m-audio nrv-10 that'll do exactly that. it connects via firewire and basically is your 10-in, 10-out soundcard from then on. i use it with ableton live and steinberg nuendo. i like it - might be worth checking out. tho as the review mentions it's not going to do a fully miked-up kit as well as a band.
14. if i'm practicing at low volume, i don't worry about the tone too much, in fact i usually play with no eq or 'tone-sweetening' at all. it makes me concentrate on the playing more. i'm surprised you're getting a woolly sound from a fender tho...they're usually twangtastic !
15.
I'm guessing that it's the emotional connection that making it of "sentimental" value.
well, yes...that is the essence of sentimental value. poor reporting aside, it's a sad story, and i hope the chap gets his bass back.
16.
Aye, I've bought loads of stuff with no problem but I can't seem to sell anything. I suppose it might help if I tried.
well, that's encouraging...i was wondering if it was something personal !
17. i wonder what happened to the rest of the bass
18. nobody buys my stuff
19. just finished watching it - really enjoyed it. thanks to the OP for the tip

an 80's boss CE-2B...tried a few chorus pedals - still my favourite.
24. a bass version of the boost overdrive would be interesting
25. if it gave the guy pleasure, then as it's his he can do as he likes with it. i wouldn't say it's a work of art, but he looks quite the craftsman.
