1. might be worth trying the head with a different cab, just to ensure it's not the amp that's at fault.
2.
That would certainly clarify it for a potential buyer if not for us!
done
3. instrumentation-wise, great...couldn't get on with the style of the vocals tho. each to their own of course.
4.
Well spotted but the seller does clearly state 'EMG' in the title and in the listing. An oversight or hoping to catch the unwary/stupid?
difficult to say...i may drop them a line and let them know.
5. that's an EMC (european music company ?) pickup... i think tanglewood are part of the EMC stable. edit: looks like an similar pickup on this thread
6. up for sale again with a slight price drop. bought from shaun here a few months ago, and as i'm not playing with the band i'd intending using it with it's time to let it go. good condition (see attached photo), bit of corrosion on the foot pedal and the odd little scratch here and there, but it's in the same condition i bought it as it's not been out of the spare room £90 collected from tottenham (with a cup of tea !), or meet up somewhere in central london. no case
7. i wonder what they do with the scratchplates...
8.
You want an operator chair rather than and executive chair.
plus the one
9. oooh - that's good. very nice work...girlfren agrees !
10.

"can we do it again ?" "why ?" genius
11. i'd never let something like that near my ears without expert operating it.
12. just to add - make sure you can adjust the seat to a height that puts your thighs parallel to the floor. i found that playing in a seat that wouldn't adjust low enough made my ankles very sore.
13. if there was a scratch on a bass i'd bought new it'd go back.
14. no arguments here - fantastic drummer
15. PM'd
16. that unit will deliver up to 450mA - should be more than enough. boss OBD = 15mA ehx big mff pi = 3mA ebs multicomp = 15mA ehx micro-q = 100mA
17. the bass pod live xt's amp sims have marshall, fender and other guitar amps as well. i've used mine recording guitar using the 'fender bassman' or 'dual showman' sims and they sound fine to my ears - not that i've as picky about guitar sounds as i am about bass. incidentally i'm looking to sell it as i'm not in the band i was using it with any more - pm me if you're interested.
18. it's got a big footprint, but i really like my ehx stereo memory man with hazarai. tap tempo, the memory presets are good to have and it does sound-on-sound too.
19. i increased the volume pot value on my streamer standard when i swapped the MEC pickup to a bart - didn't massively change the sound, but i think it did open up the top end a bit. that could have been a better soldering job or a slight hawthorne effect tho !!
20.
man i want one!
plus the one.
21. disconnect the wires, make a brew and read the manual and get your head round how it works. if you're planning on changing the config later, you may as well get to know it properly.
22.
what about the bit at around 50 seconds where it moves up the scale for several bars ?
i try to act natural, but failing that, smile and act convincing
23. i have a bartolini p-j set in my fortress that i'm thinking of swapping for something more vintagey. if you decide on barts, drop me a pm
24.
It'ss tricky cos it's really flat, tuned to well below 440 (at least to my ears), this sounds pretty decent to me: G:-----------6-4---------: D:-----------------6-4---: A:-4-444-4-----------7-: E:-------------------------: That's tuned about 40 cents flat, tune about as low as your tuner will go and still be the same note and it should sound more or less right.
this is how i play it too brilliant tune.
