1.
For once BB5 our musical tastes have intersected. Here's one of my favourite Bjork (Sugarcubes) performances...
aaah - live zabor...one of my fave live films/videos/what have you spesh the bit with bjork taking her tv apart... 2. i read that as 'tube bulb action hall" i'd pay a pound to see some tube bulb action
3.
Great bass, Is It still for sale ??? More picks ??? particually of the bits that you mentioned in the description.
yes, it's still for sale, here's a few more pics. the largest dink is just behind the bridge - just deep enough to expose the wood. there's also a bit of buckle rash on the back, but not enough to break the finish tho. the second pic is the best i can do to show this...but it really exaggerates it...in the flesh you can hardly see it. i've tried before to get get a shot of the neck, but there's really nothing to see - it's just in the texture.
4.
IIRC it's the control for the string mute system
/slaps forehead/ makes sense, now i've looked properly !
5. very nice ! what's the curved part that comes out of the top of the bridge ? a finger rest ? a bottle opener ?
6. "going forward" or any other kind of corporate w@nk speak of a similar ilk.
7. bump and £20 off.
8.
Close, but the Tork model is the wrong headstock shape, I think.
fair enough, i was guessing about that. it's a 6072 or 3 it seems.
9. looks like a gretsch PX 6073 bass - i think peter tork played one with the monkees.
10. OK folks, up for sale is my streamer standard - you know the score with these...german-made in a rockbass stylee, but predating the rockbass line itself. i've replaced the stock MEC pickup with a bartolini, which is wired for humbucking/ single coil but a push-pull on the volume pot. good condition - the body has a couple of dinks, nothing major though, and bearing in mind the somewhat notorious body wood on these, it's done well. the neck has some very slight shrinkage of the woods, so you can feel a very slight line where they meet at some points on the neck, but you really don't notice them after playing for a bit. there's also a slight roughness, almost a ripple on one parts of the middle piece of the neck, but again it's nothing major (it may just be the grain of the wood tbh) i've also moved the rear strap button to further round the body like on some other warwicks, as i think it balances better. this is a collection-only/meet in central london sale. i'm looking for [s]£280[/s] £260 - i think i've got an old soft case i can bung it in, but no hard case i'm afraid.
11.
T1000 surely?
12. met up with shaun this weekend to buy his line 6 bass xt live. lovely chap and a pleasure to deal with
13.
I haven't really listened to his Invaders of the heart and beyond output. but Metal Box (PIL) contains some wonderful bass lines, especialy Careering. And who doesn't get a shiver from the opening bass riff to Public Image? Classic. Easily as good as the voted #1 bass riff, Stranglers' Peaches. Seems like a nice oddball too
that's nailed it
14. his playing with PiL was great.
15. i'd never wear a hat indoors.
16. just to add the site's gone back to being painfully slow for me... hope things settle down...the delays are actually putting me off using basschat at the moment
17. i'd say it's the toms and the twangy single-note guitar
18.
If members can read this forum, then your ISP should have renewed their DNS. I also flushed my DNS which seemed to help a little - On XP - Start - Run - cmd - ipconfig /flushdns
aha - now that's hastened things along...many thanks
19. i certainly don't rank myself here.
20. all very posh. thanks for the work, men behind the curtain !
21. a friend of mine built a dummy load box for his laney LC15R - it works a treat for silent recording, as i think he had the same problem as the OP i could ask him if he'd like to build one for you
22. would you be interested in a digitech bass synth wah ? i'm interested in trying a bass floor pod...and that's all i have to offer, filter-wise. with cash your way obviously drop me a PM
