Well, only you can say if it's actually solder...but that looks like wire to me. is it soft...can you pull it apart ?

The door stay to stop my shed door from opening too far is a bass E-string.

Difficult to say without seeing it, but double-check all the connections look good. The bass control works OK ?

You lucky dog. The value of Warwicks isn't fantastic at the moment, but I'd not like to hazard a guess as $$ Streamers are quite rare I think. I'd love a Streamer $$.

They do the job fine for me - the output for a daisy chain cable's a boon.
