1. I had to Google both...but I think I'd get the bass and sell it and buy something [s]less ugly[/s] more pleasing to my sensibilities.
2.
I used to have a couple of Peavey 410T cabs about 20-25 years ago.. belting kit, loud as you like and clear too! Not a one hand lift, mind..
Yep, me too - loved the sound, but the weight was a problem.
3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8J8n9R8rnB8 Wild Flag - no bass guitar, but a cracking tune.
4. Aaaah, thanks...I see. The AS isn't too shabby on bass - I can get a nice vintage-y sound quite easily.
5. I have one of their 'American' pedals which is meant to be Fender-ish. It's very nice - a bit hissy at hight gain, but not bad at all What does TLDR mean ?
6. Looks like a lovely instrument, I've got a Japanese GL Signature and it's my favourite bass - I think it's amazing. Oddly I got into Rush because of the bass. I've always been a fan of Jazzes and as people were speaking very highly of the signature bass I started checking out some Rush to hear the kind of sounds Geddy Lee was associated with before I considered buying one and realised that I quite liked some of their albums (not all by a long chalk)...I ended up learning some of his basslines which has really improved my playing. Bit back to front I guess.
7. Vintage and rare, vintage and rare, wave your Squiers in the air like you just don't care
8.
It's a stroke of marketing genius, quite frankly. I have a bit of furniture to shift; I might seed the listing with "Not a teapot, nor fetish gear, nor a genuine lock of Herman Goerring's hair, nor a biscuit tin full of elephant droppings, nor a live badger in a Pringles tube." The possibilities for reaching out to niche demographics are almost limitless.
Knock yourself out ! In fact, taking in discreet's suggestion you most likely could
9. Aren't people just seeding the auction title with words that people search for ? A bit like when you see 'not Ampeg, not Trace Elliot, etc ' in the title for a bass amp auction to draw people in who have searched for those makes ? It's sneaky !
10. Mrs. Pook approves.
11.
Thought that was going to Wynonna ( Judd ) Which is another project I'm looking at....
I've no idea who that is...and I suspect I don't want to be bunging it into a search engine either !
12. /Peers at board/ Are you running the Thunderclaw through a blend loop ?
13. I've been strumming through the bass chords to this, for a bit of nostalgic fun. Wonderfully early 90s video
14. Wow...Sci-Fi bass !
15.
You see a lot of stuff on the interwebs about Behringer and their alleged low-quality and low-reliability, but it's worth saying once again that they do manufacture and distribute more products than every other brand put together, so statistically you're going to see more instances of Behringer failure than anything else. Of course people don't post anything at all if their products are performing OK, why would they?
Very well put. Another vote in favour of Behringer - I've never had a problem with any of the kit I've used. One of their EP2500 power amps was part of my backline for a number of years - performed well and took plenty of abuse. I'm sure that it won't be long before the stigma attached to 'Made in China' will disappear, just as 'Made in Japan' did many many years ago.
16. take the 's' out of the https://x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x in the address and just post the link - the forum should add the media tags for you
17.
New toy for the Bank Holiday weekend maybe?
You bad man ! If this is still here in a couple of weeks when I've sorted some stuff out.....I'll have a hard time saying no.
18. Very tempting....
19.
The excitement is definitely up there, I suppose now with the little ones I get that Christmas feeling back. But this is mine!
I take a lot longer to open the packages these days.....try to savour it a bit.
20.
I just did other stuff I was interested in until I could play again.
Me too - I've had two bouts of ankle surgery that stopped me sitting up and playing (it doesn't sound like it would stop you playing, but when you can't put weight on your ankle and can't cross you legs and really should have it elevated.....it gets complicated !). I got stuck into some books and watched loads of films I wanted to catch up on - in some ways, enjoyed the break. Mind you, that was only for a month or so for each leg, so it wasn't forever. If it were longer I think I'd be breaking out the laptop and working on some music that way. Hope you're feeling better soon dadofsix
21. I'm the same - watching any tracking info, stopping what I'm doing if I hear a truck pull up outside, leaving the back and porch doors open if I'm out back working. You must have a cold heart if you don't, if you ask me It's a little slice of Xmas
22. It is fast tho - some couriers really must used winged monkeys. I received a bass preamp from Italy a week or so ago - four days, door-to-door.
23. Isle of White ? Bet that's a safe UKIP seat (Sorry.....)
24.
Depends whether you're in a negative or a positive kind of mood, I guess...
Now come on, let's not mix up electric and magnetic fields....keep it in the right domain.
