  1. Great basses. My '57 P CIJ is a joy.
  2. The Ibanez Mikro Bass overall length is 39", the body is 12" wide at the lower bout and the length of the body from strap button to stap button is 19". Fits in any six string guitar gigbag I have tried.
  3. Great little amps these. I have the later WTX-264 with a 4ohm 12"cab.
  4. My lefty Ibanez Mikro next to Fender J for size comparison.
  5. This arrived a few days ago to accomodate my short-scale Ibanez Mikro bass. Excellent quality guitar size gigbag. More like a case than just a bag. Fits the bass with room to spare. http://www.thomann.de/gb/thomann_premium_gigbag_eguitar_br.htm
  6. Just ran this setup at home as a test for almost 5 hrs with no issues and very quiet. A 600w inverter connected to a 12v battery powering an Eden 250w head playing through a 4ohm 12" cab. Should still be loud and portable enough once I get a small trolley.
  7. Certainly would have wanted to see that one in the flesh.
  8. If your playing funk then the RH750 is prob a good choice. Mark King uses one.
  9. Looks great. I have always regretted selling my Acoustic 140, albeit around 25 years ago! I really like the look of those tiny pedals, what are they exactly?
  10. My YOB. Super duper!
  11. Talk about a bass having mojo!
  12. Looks fantastic. How about a pic minus the pickguard?
  13. I have black tapewound strings on my fretted acoustic bass. I really like the feel of them. I use the bass for noodling at home so volume not an issue.
  14. Thanks for the feedback on this. The maple neck looks too new to me to be '70's, hence my suspicion it may be an assembly job.
  15. Something about this P bass just doesn't look right. I own a few Fender lefties and this one looks like its an allparts job somehow. What you think? http://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/252424109605
  16. Update is that I just happened to set bass up for a look-see in my bedroom and when played through my practice amp, lo and behold, no hum at all. May still require some copper grounding wire put in under bridge and pups and attached to the shielded control cavity to alleviate completely if this is indeed the cause.
  17. Great colour combo.
  18. And to think that bass looked brand new before those dogs got hold of it. Nice!
  19. I just acquired an Ibanez Mikro. Great little bass but Im having what is some sort of live hum issue. The bass has a PJ configuration. The back J pup is not affected, it just seems to be the front P pup. With the tone rolled off there is no hum with this pup either but it is when I introduce the tone I get that buzz whuch only disappears if I touch either the tone or P volume pots. Ive already shielded both pup cavities and the control cavity so at a loss as to how to sort it. Any help appreciated in advance!
  20. Absolutely gorgeous looking Thumb.
  21. What about a Hofner 500/1? Super light. Classic look. I like the model in black. The comtemporary series sound pretty modern too as they have a solide piece of wood inside the body for sustain.
