  1. First time I was aware of Mr. P I was visiting my older brother who was in a prog-rock/jazz fusion band. This would be around 1979. He put Jaco's debut record on his deck and out came Jaco at what seemed a hundred miles an hour! I kept asking "are you sure he's playing a bass?" I discovered him again years later in my late teens when I started playing fretless. His playing can still cause shock & awe to the un-initiated, haha.
  2. Agreed. Those images really show off a beautiful bass. Good luck.
  3. Would it be sacrilege to take the frets out? Cheap for a fretless one of these.
  4. Er.....tomorrow most likely. I'm a lefty but if had spotted this would have snapped it up to play it upside down. Dream bass.
  5. Black nitro body keeping on the original guard will look awsome!
  6. Looks a lot like an Alembic and at the planned production price I hope its a winner.
  7. Lovin those bass clef position markers.
  8. I recognise that Thumb. Glad you're loving it!
  9. Anyone tried one of these?
  10. Will be tuning in to this one.
  11. Just saw this cab for first time on notreble.com. Very tempted if it could match my 4ohm Eden 1x12 for output and presence.
  12. Great job Andy. The headstock and swift inlay branding really does take away from this bass just being a clone. Can hear the mwaaaah from here!
  13. I use one of these all the time. Also makes my acoustic guitar sound fantastic.
  14. Looking at these is giving me big pangs for a hand-built bass. Excellent builds.
  15. Agree about the pickup position. Interesting. Also, with the reverse headstock the bass could be strung B E A D no problem.
  16. That rig looks great. What is the power of the combo? Does it increase adding the external cab?
  17. If only I had bought that '64 offered to me for eighty quid when I was after my first bass in the early '80's!!!
  18. Ive owned one too. Great tone and powerful enough to use as a stage monitor on smaller gigs.
  19. So cool. This bass has some serious mojo.
  20. With an action that low it must almost play itself.
  21. This is a work of art my friend. Congrats on another superb build and great thread.
