    Is anyone using or has knowledge of a portable bass amp that is powerful enough for busking? I tried a Pignose, not technically a bass amp, and it couldn't cope with the low frequencies. I've heard about the Roland Micro Cube but it didn't look to me like a busking amp, more just a portable low volume practice amp.

    Tapered strings are simply strings where the end of the string becomes a narrow winding rather than the actual gauge of the string all the way to the stop. Next time you visit a guitar store ask to see some.

    Does anyone have any insight into purchasing a headstock tuner? I've never used one so is there a particular model, are they are as accurate, etc.

    Been looking into acquiring some new basses recently, a short-scale and a micro bass. Regards the short-scale, Scott Whitley offers a lefty option for a small charge and Gold tone offer several microbass models in lefty at no extra charge so quite pleased should I choose to commit.

    Recently I've been taking an interest in the idea of a micro bass for portability and travel. As well as the Kala U bass I've been looking at Gold Tone. Does anyone know if they have a stockist in the UK? I like the look of their new electric model.

    Miss my ffretless Steinberger L2 for its portability now I'm getting more mature, and my beat-up 1968 Gibson EBO because it was just so cool!

    I was told that Macca got his Wal from Sound Control music store when it was based in the Saltmarket in Glasgow. The store is long gone and his Wal prob lives in a flightcase somewhere.

    I have a WT264 head paired with a 4ohm Eden 1x12 cab. Also own the WTDI box. Great piece of kit. Nice and warm tone. Plenty bass and mids.
