1. A few pics of the actual bass being offered would be nice.
2. If it was mine I would say "GLOSS VARNISH PLEASE!" Looking great and seems a super-fast build. Almost like you sneakily bought a kit and stuck it together :-)
3. Never too many clamps! Look forward to seeing this progress.
4.
Covers (bluetacked) and no guard
I'm liking this.
5. And if it ain't right.... Lined fretless anyone?
6. The position of the 'hidden' jack socket is just inspired. Well done. Chris Squire would have gladly played this one.
7. Exciting stuff. Would a piezo work on a bass like this?
8. Never seen one. In fact, many lefty options for brands never reach the UK. Its pretty depressing actually. I did own a Sterling By Musicman Ray34 and it was as good as an Ernie Ball but it was super heavy so I moved it on.
9. That is a beautiful looking headstock.
10. I want to see evidence that these basses are built from scrap!!! Only joking. Amazing skills.
11. Excellent stuff. I would rather fancy a red tort pickguard replacement for mine. Im guessing there are still peeps on here offering such a service?
12. Jaydee. Super duper! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/132083586579
13. Is the pickup size the same as other stock P pickups as in no mods needed to get them to fit? Also, what strings are people putting on their Shorty? I fancied flats for mine if I get one.
14. Im liking the smaller size. Is it the full size tuners that are making the HB neck heavy or is the body just ply?
15. That is interesting to see the pickguard comparison.
16. Im planning on getting a small, lightweight, short scale P style bass with the emphasis being on cheap with the possibility of upgrading the pup at a later date. Been looking at these two basses. Anyone have experience in using these for rehearsals or even gigs? Im also wondering if both have the reduced small-sized bodies. Looking for something to fit in a guitar gigbag.
17. That is a work of art never mind a working instrument.
18. Very tasty! http://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/bass_guitars_detail.asp?stock=PX161208304893004
19. Im guessing the bridge will be black too? Babicz perhaps? Love that pickguard design. Goona look killer.
20. One thing that might be useful is which wood will be lighter. I prefer a light bass, especially if standing at a rehearsal for a few hours. Sire get great feedback from most users. Much more versatile than a traditional Fender I believe.
21. Will these fit most basses with V/V/T configuration?
22. Im still looking for a 32" scale lefty Fender or Squier P bass but on my online search I spotted that Fender Japan are doing a range of scaled-down basses called Smart Size. Think they are about 85% of normal bass sizes. Haven't seen a P bass but they offer a cool looking Jazz bass, but only one vendor has got back to me in dodgy english regards my search for a lefty version. Anyone on here played one or know of a reputable seller who can get their paws on the lefty version of either a J or P?
23. Loving the matching headstock Andy. Superb!
