I had one for a while. Aesthetically they are great but as basses they lack a lot.
Don't confuse them with solid bodied electric basses - they're a completely different beast.
I kept mine for about 3 months, don't miss it at all.
As well as being an amazing bass player he's a really nice fella.
He did a masterclass at one of the early Herts Bashes and dropped in on his way to a gig the following year.
I'd be interested in this event.
Though I'm reluctant to recommend it there's a Kawai Owners group on the Talkbass forum.
IIRC someone else asked about dating their K11B so that could answer your query.
So these "scientists " got a grant of several thousands of pounds to put on a rave and ask those attending whether they could hear the additional bass...🤭🤭
