I normally use Parcelforce but they are on strike this week. I have a potential buyer for an item I have for sale who is enquiring about the cost of insured couriers. Any suggestions?

You are not alone. When I joined I had one 4 string, a 5er and an acoustic bass. I now have seven 4 string basses, six 5ers, four guitars ( I don't play guitar), a mini bass with rubber strings and at least six rigs. You're all a bad influence on me...😉

Hey Ad... Deja vu??? There has always been a shortage of good, committed musicians locally, finding a good drummer has always been a problem and I know you've been banging your head against the wall for years. For all the years I've known you (remember selling me that Ohm combo back in the 80s?) you have always been more committed than those around you. Yes, I know that you have gone through many periods when you were disillusioned , unsurprisingly when it's so hard to get like minded others here but you know that. Rather than playing with a target at the end of it, just play for your own enjoyment. Stick with it fella. You'll be back.

I spent lots of bucks on high end gear in the past. I find that my Yamaha basses all punch way above their price point. I believe we get a lot of bass for our meagre outlay. I haven't had much need to, but when I have Customer Service was excellent. I had a query about truss rod nuts and was sent two.

Pigbag - Papa's got...I bought the album in the 80s on the back of this. Joy Division - Love will tear us apart. Couldn't get on with any of the other stuff and I really don't rate PH as a bassist either. Not that controversial
