  1. The damage? Mostly aesthetic paint and a bent machinehead?
  2. I had this experience trying a Fender bass in DV247. The neck gap on the mij was super tight...you couldn't get a single Rizla paper in whereas the MIA you could have got in half a packet. When I see stuff like this it just confirms my bias
  3. I prefer the looks and the neck from a jazz but need the punch from the P pickup. For me, if I have to have that shape bass it has to be a PJ.
  4. So it's good night from me....
  5. @chris_bmakes a good point that Fender was the thing when he ( and I presume most of us) started. He's right, but today there are numerous other brands building as good, if not better basses. If you want a Fender, buy one. If you want a good bass the choice is bigger.
  6. I'd have them if I had the space and you were closer.... GLWTS
  7. Pre '21 are Basswood, after that Poplar was available.

  9. With the cost of fuel being what it is currently this could be a good buy for somebody with an open fire
  10. I'm supposed to be picking up one of these mid week. Check the reviews: https://www.zzounds.com/productreview--SBMRAY4HH
  11. I've owned lots of basses but only 4 Fenders. None of them were special in any way which would suggest to me that they are any better than any other brands.
  12. Lakland bass in Japan, great price till C&E add their bit. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/325246297913
  13. You forgot to mention that you need to put things on top to stop them floating off because they weigh next to nothing. I had the ex model which was one of the best cabs I ever owned
  14. For what? I'm sure it would be fine for most situations.
  15. Like the idea of a green pj as a pressie to myself for Xmas/ birthday. I didn't look...available as 5ers?
  16. JOOI what is that in the top left corner of your last photo?
  17. Love the fretboard timber...amazing figuring. One possible criticism could be that because you've chosen beautiful timbers for both neck and body they may compete for what to look at. Nice problem to have though.
  18. You're not the only one to be caught out by this...
  19. Hasn't Kiogon stopped producing looms, etc? I'm tempted even though I don't have a P bass.
  20. The Sandberg feels warmer and less "in your face" - has more character IMO
  21. I've got that album!!
  22. Beautiful bass.... I can forward my home address if you would like to give it to me as a Xmas Present. 😉
