  1. I’m out, I had a Fender US Professional Jazz that I was going to move on but have decided not to. Now that’s not a purchase, but deciding to change the pickups and scratch plate on it is 😬
  2. Amen to that, been there and it’s not fun - and why is it that no matter which Travelodge the doors always open the wrong way for loading into the hotel at 2am, making it even more awkward?
  3. Replied and now on hold
  4. That is an incredible price, has to be bargain of the year so far!
  5. Now sold One set of V-Mods taken from my US Professional Precision, As per the pics the pots, capacitor & jack are all attached, just solder in your ground wire and ready to go. Price includes delivery in the UK

  6. Now sold The Noir version, in case you like all your pedals to be dark. Pretty hard to get hold of, these don’t come up very often. Price includes delivery in the UK
  7. Now sold One VTDI in good condition, comes in the Tech21 tin and with manual. Price includes delivery in the UK
  8. Makes a lot of sense, that.
  9. Given the current situation I wonder how many courier companies will levy incorrect charges, be that unknowingly on their part, or knowingly hoping the customer won’t make enquiries.
  10. That is a good deal on a very good bass
  11. I know where you’re coming from, that’s why I went down the two x ABM NEO 210s, each weighs 37lbs and due the diagonal formation stand taller than a regular 410, so easier to hear on stage (and looks better too imo).
  12. I had an SVT410HE & 210HE set up. Paired with an SVT3-PRO it sounded great, but just as I bought it all my band split up, so after a while I sold it all and went lightweight (for a while).
  13. Reminds me of how a well known saying came into meaning: Ships from Newcastle would bring their cargo into London’s docks, then rather return empty they would take a load of urine - which was used as dye for clothing - back with them. On said return journey they would often pass other ships whose crews they knew, who would enquire what cargo they were carrying. They would often say “ we’ve got a great load, really lucrative” to which the response was: “You’re taking the p155”.
  14. I must admit I’ve thought about doing that, ABM600 into the lower one of my 210s for clean lows then the RM500 into the upper one for highs with a bit of drive. As I’ll only likely be using my own rig from now on I can experiment a bit.
  15. But how rich are you now Chris, after all those lottery wins 🤣
  16. I’d reply: Thanks for your interest, please copy the link, paste it into an e-Mail and send it your Dad with my blessings
  17. I was looking at replacement Jazz pickups yesterday and a set that cost £130 plus here are up for £79 at Thomson. I don’t know how the charges are worked but even factoring them in that still looks a deal.
  18. Yes, that happened to band I know, they drove through - not playing in btw - Switzerland, got stopped and had to stump up the applicable costs.
  19. I’d also be very surprised if Mark Gooday sold Ashdown, considering how he’s built up the company and their worthy reputation.
  20. I remember the late 80s/early 90s when the Conservatives were in government. If they did something wrong and got caught it was hands up & resign. That seems to have gone by the wayside nowadays.
  21. I don’t know about budget so to speak, but my fave US Precision, which cost me less than all of my other basses is the one that I’ll keep no matter what. Only downside is it has such sentimental value I won’t take it out of the house.
  22. I wonder if that`s due to now many of them being career politicians, rather than people who went into politics for grass-roots genuine reasons, as you`re right, but I`d also include the levels of competence amongst the opposition parties as well, there`s not many politicians nowadays that inspire confidence.
  23. I have the 600 watt version and for me with the valve drive on full you get some nice warmth and extra harmonics but no real overdrive as such, just a small amount of breakup. It is however insanely powerful so the fact that I can’t push it fully may be a factor there, and being lower powered the 300 may achieve exactly what you’re after - or indeed the breakup that I get may be the crunch you want. But that aside, they are a quality amp, I’d fully recommend the ABM EVO IV amps all day long, incredibly versatile and a real depth/weight to the sound.
  24. I dunno about the tonnes of fish but I reckon the bass solo threat will have him folding in seconds.
