Definitely. In my band we wear earplugs as the drummer is just so loud (my ACS plugs deal with this tho) but I can feel the air from the rehearsal rooms 810, it’s very satisfying.
Having had both Ashdown & Barefaced cabs I`d say that BF will more than likely go louder (make that a definite), but that that is irrespective to me given that I prefer the sound of the Ashdowns, which are plenty loud enough for my needs.
We had the Chief of Antwerp Police come on stage, hand on gun, hollering at us in Flemish. I’m not particularly fluent (as in I speak none) but I could tell he didn’t want to help on BVs.
I had the Super 12T cab, always had the tweeter fully off and never had any problems with lack of highs. I’m not a crisp modern-highs player but the highs from the S12T were decent.
Yeah I got that, no malice intended with my post hence the smiley.
Hanoi were an odd band, looked like all those hair metal bands but didn’t sound anything like them, a bit of a crossover from punk to rock I suppose. Def one of my faves tho.
Who said Nirvana weren’t ahead of their time, in 1991 they managed to get Hanoi Rocks to split up in 1985, even Dr Who would have struggled with that one 😀
Duran Duran from 2011 in Manchester currently on. Good overall sound and when you can hear JTs bass on its own he has a very nice sound, fits well in the mix without being too bassy, middy or trebly.
I had Boss TU tuners for years, but when putting together a pedalboard went for the Polytune for the smaller size. I prefer the display too, and it seems to be more instant/accurate.
This is something I’m going through at present, I have a 5-string Precision but only play a low D in 2 songs so have an Extender on my 4-string Precision. That said I may well start using the 5-er in the band though the low B is a tad floppy, might have to get a heavier gauge.
