  1. Past hour
  2. Manet Rivers to Cross - Jimmy Cliff
  3. Monet For Nothing - Dire Straits
  4. I put a wanted ad on here and got it for £255 posted which seems fair
  5. That seems a little imprudent?
  6. My old instruments. Downsized the amount of 5 strings.
  7. I've been out of transcribing for a few years as the function bands I played for had everything charted, and the other bands were originals. I started learning 'I Was Made to Love Her' by Stevie Wonder a few weeks ago. I'm trying to get it note for note and by heart without writing it out. I can just about play the first half!
  8. McMillen Batt-O-Meter. Tells you what the battery voltage is under load. https://www.thomann.co.uk/keith_mcmillen_batt_o_meter.htm
  9. would also accept trade for an iPad pro T.Hanks
  10. He’s had it for decades. It’s a 1980’s refinished by a guy called Vic Vella who worked for Maiden in the early days and then went on to work for Steve. It’s a beautiful bass.
  11. Cracking job there - looks awesome. The very best of luck to you guys
  12. Water lily was here - Candy Dulfer
  13. I like it. It's like what you see when you take the cover off of a Japanese motorcycle cylinder head.
  14. He’s been using that one with bl for a good few years. I first remember seeing him use it in 2015 iirc
  15. Just sold my Warwick Star Bass to Baz, lovely chap, can talk bass for hours and hours (like the rest of us). Great coms, turned up when he said he would, ace basschatter. Would have zero qualms about dealing with him again. 👊🏻
  16. That's a very nice example of a rare bass, and I would say a very good price. Fwiw there are MIJ Washburn & Daion/Yamaki - specific FB groups where there might be significant interest in something like this. GLWTS!
  17. Apart from all the usual suspects mentioned, there is Joey Defranceso, who unfortunately passed away a couple of years back aged 51. A multi instrumentalist and superb musician. His Hammond playing is terrific with amazing Bass pedal playing. There is plenty on YouTube and definitely worthy of a mention on the OP's list:
  18. Possibly. There is a certain aspirational lifestyle that involves a kind of self consciously cool parody persona that only resonates with certain people IMO. It’s not particularly subtle or requiring much in the way of imagination but does seem to require a lot of money and effort.
  19. Very nice! GLWTS, Ash 👍
  20. Where'd you find it and how much was it Andy, if that's not too personal a question!? My Thomann order status still says 3-4 weeks (I paid for mine on 12th October) as it has been for over a month and when I chatted with them today they now pushed out the "we get stock" to 9th of Jan. Well it was Nov, then early Dec, then late Dec. How long is a piece of string with these guys. So I googled the pedal out of desperation and it said the usual, that these pedals were available from multiple UK vendors, so I clicked on a few (to find out they haven't got any), then tried one more for luck and Bingo! The magic words "In stock" appeared (it feels odd to be excited by those two words, but it's been a long wait and rigmarole). A quick phone call to them confirmed the good news and they had my order in a few mins. What surprised me is that Thomann with all their pull couldn't get any or enough (they assured me, that only those presold to customers before me had gone out in the past two months, so at least their queing system is working, just maybe too many people bought in hope there) whereas Bass Direct said they got 30 of them recently. It's a lot of money for a single pedal though and new territory for me (as I've gone only for inexpensive multipedals before, Zoom B3 and Valeton GP-5).
  21. Today
  22. Is it just me or is this comically large?? I will do a test fit/string up but I can see a router recessing job in my future
  23. Those dimensions give an approximate volume of 50L per driver with 55-60 Hz tuning, so the tuning is too high and the box is too big. A dividing shelf doesn't do anything other than to add bracing to the panels that it connects. You should have bracing, but as far as that's concerned a shelf is one of the least effective methods.
