  2. Less than 50p a kilo, bargain. This is a beautiful bass.
  3. Or go to consumer protection.
  4. If I had ~£550 to spend on a new active jazz that would be my choice too, if passive was suitable maybe an FGN Boundary. Can also pick up a used GB Modern 4 for that sort of money.
  5. If I was in that position I'd buy the Squier CV going for £250 s/h on here... It is literally a swap of a logo for other features. If you don't want active and are happy with a basic selection of colours, the playability is likely to be indistinguishable.
  6. Now reduced to £500
  7. Sheer madness!
  8. Reduced to £250.
  9. I would buy a used Fender - £549 will get you a decent one.
  10. For some time I actually heard the name as "Gladys Knight and the Pimps"
  11. Fry Me A River - Justin Timberlake
  12. Today
  13. Re-uploading this with better pictures. This is the same pedal as the now famous Taylor Shift but with a different visual design. It includes a low pass filter which sounds great and the octave circuit is one of the best OC-2 clones out there. Can either ship or happy to meet anywhere in London.
  14. DPD would be my recommendation.
  15. Forgot to mention that I am also waiting for a clear plastic wall corner protector. It is L - shaped and will sit in front of the light to protect it from the spray
  16. @Singular Audio any plans for a pedal like this with a DI out?
  17. Sound pretty good, and the magnetic viewer film results are interesting to nerds like me too.
  18. This stuff happens. I'd get it sorted myself, no point having a broken bass sitting around, and you'll find a lot of suggestions as to what PUPs you might upgrade to either elsewhere in this forum or as this thread develops. Frankly, if you've emailed the store four times and had no reply simply name them here, it might encourage them to do the right thing. Of course they may have gone bust or there might be another legit reason for non-response but I still think it's worth you posting. I wouldn't bother with a small claims action, more trouble than it's worth, life's too short.
  19. The Warmth Of The Sun - Beach Boys
  20. Looks good. Do you put clear plastic or clingfilm over the light each time to stop it getting covered in paint?
  21. @Kiwi, as you know I am keen for one of these and would quite like the mop inlays too. Are you looking for deposits? If so can you fire me your details - thanks buddy.
  22. I can get in the red pretty easily, usually at 1 or 2 oclock, it'll start peaking depending on my eq settings. As bagman says, as you add more low end you'll notice the needle move. I dont use the onboard compressor, but I can remember that killing the volume - not sure if that affects vu though
  23. This concerns an Ultra Jazz Bass Ltd Edition which I bought in January 2024. It recently developed a fault… bridge p/u not working. Phoned Fender UK on 15/7 and they advised me to contact the dealer I bought it from and also confirmed it has a two year warranty. Four emails later and no response from the dealer. Since then, I have had it checked by a technician who has confirmed the bridge p/u is faulty (open circuit on the windings). I think I have a few options: Upgrade the original pickups (open to suggestions as to which would be best). Start small claims action against dealer. Replace the existing pickups with Fender originals. Or wait! Any advice gratefully received with thanks!
