  2. Yeah, Rob Mullarkey feels like he’s playing through the bass, not just on it. Like the instrument disappears and it’s just pure expression. That combo of freedom, groove, and taste is so rare it’s technical mastery but never for show. Always in service of the music
  3. Hello everyone, Having upgraded both my touring and backup boards to Cioks power supplies, this is now surplus to requirements. It has recently been serviced and re-capped, and everything works well. It comes with a useful amount of standard 2.1mm pedal leads in both short & long lengths, including the Voodoo Labs 18V adaptor lead, and a pair of mounting brackets. Also included, but not photographed, is a brand-new Thomann UK kettle/IEC lead. Everything is in used, but good overall condition, and ready to go to work! EDIT: Now just £65 for the lot, which includes mainland UK postage. No offers or trades please. Please message me if interested, and thanks for looking! Etienne
  4. Hofner 500/1 Violin Bass ‘63 Artist Series Classic reissue of the famous Violin bass. Top: selected spruce wood Back and sides: flamed maple Neck: 2-Piece maple/beech Fretboard: Rosewood 22 Frets Nut width 42 mm Scale: 760mm (30") Pickups: 2 Staple humbuckers Electronics: Höfner HA2-B: control panel with 2 volume controls, 2 on/off switches, rhythm/solo switch for volume boost Finish: Poly lacquer, high-gloss Includes Höfner case Made in Germany The bass is in excellent condition and is currently strung with Pyramid nylon flats. It has all the tools, stickers, hang tag, inspection tag and manual. See pictures for condition. Action is low and intonation good. It’s a beautiful bass but I tend to play my Hofner ‘Cavern’ bass more because of the ergonomics of the pickup position. This model is based on the 1963 version of the bass. I have owned several of the reissues and original models of all eras and origins. This plays the best and sounds as good as any. It comes with the original Hofner case that has some minor cosmetic wear. Pickup preferred but I can post in the UK at buyer’s expense.
  5. Harley Benton Neck Nut width 42mm Depth of neck measured at 1st fret 20mm 2002, Musicman USA SUB (basically a stingray..) Nut width 43mm Depth of neck measured at 1st fret 23mm So slimmer...
  6. Wow, that is an incredible connection that I didn't know existed! Two fabulous musicians, giving so much to our instrument and our community.
  7. I've only just spotted this thread, and I bloody well wish I hadn't. GAS is back with a bang. That sunburst 5-string... ohhhhh lordy. 8. Thanks! It's a nice combo with some heft to the tone. If it was practical for me to have multiple rigs, I'd keep hold of it.
  9. Amazing pedal, selling as I have two. velcro on the bottom. Price includes UK shipping. Thanks
  10. More progress:
  11. Ouch, that's heavy. I have a Z7-5 and a Z3-5, at 9.5 and 9.2 lbs, which is very decent for 5 strings
  12. Depending on your budget, you could possibly get a multi FX that can do it all in one go, inc amp sims/cab etc. The Zoom's/Helixstuff have GK sims in them, as well as multiple chours pedals.
  13. Oh wow, a blast from the past. My father had to oversee a clearout at a school resources centre in the early 90s and I ended up with four bell and howell 1x12 cabs. One pair became "hifi" cabs in my flat and the other pair had a 50w carlsbro valve amp shoved up them as my guitar rig at the time. Sounded pretty decent in both roles as I recall. Absolutely no idea what became of them which is a shame, loved the aesthetic

  15. That tab is already so close to an ordinary score: tempo is seen under the stave. But: four lines instead of five, and heads are numbers, not dots.
  16. The TC Electronic Helix Chorus has a Duff Preset IIR, although you could probably use almost any multi knob chorus.
  17. Whereabouts in Warwickshire ?
  18. Hi all, guitarist-turned-bassist in a folk-metal ceilidh band here! I've been using an Ibanez Ergodyne 4 string since forever, but looking to make the switch to a 5 string and thought I would sign up here for some help and advice. Would rather like one of the Schecter Model-T Exotic 5 strings, so if anyone here is looking to sell theirs then get in touch :).
  19. Hold on ill check it against my usa sub...bear with
  20. Dropped to £180, without the spare strings I was originally including. This bass is in hardly used, mint condition.
  21. A genuine bargain for a brand new Electra for anyone interested
  22. Location: Teesside (N.E.)
  23. Hélas, there is no right out of the box control plate for these Japanese Jazz Basses except being sure it's coming from one of these basses. Before buying ask for the dimensions if they are not stated or put a very specific request here (with the dimensions) : https://www.basschat.co.uk/forum/22-items-wanted/
  24. Hi Chris, Seems I don’t automatically get a notification when someone replies! I’ve PM’d you the number. Terry
  25. Great little OC2 clone, not getting any use as I take my Octabvre. has Velcro in the bottom, price includes UK shipping. Thanks
