Maybe front vs rear doesn't sound different when you are standing in front of them, but I've been told by several drummers that rear ported bass cabs, when set up next to them, don't sound as good as front ported. I prefer front ported. I was always moving guitar cases, covers and other pieces of gear stowed behind my cabs, in the space I left for the rear ports!!

Be prepared to get 'stopped and searched' quite a lot I would think 🤣.

I need a case for my NS NXTa. Anyone using a rifle case? Been doing some searching, doesn't seem to be much issue in finding a case with a long enough interior measurement (160cm will give me some wiggle room).

Most strange, why return it to the person who could have stolen it , the auction house obviously know the back story, if anything they should have held on to it or given it to the police while things are checked

Probably depends on who the person/company you got it from actually is, if it's Parcelforce then perhaps justified as he could argue it was sent to him in error by them and that the owner needs to resolve this with them who he'd paid to deliver it? But why would you not return calls or talk to Police. At present it all smells a bit wrong doesn't it........

In case anyone is wondering what I am on about, it is this: I'm currently getting it once a day when I have a new notification. I'll not see it again until I next get a notification tomorrow or later. However I've already opted out of Push Notifications so why all this pleading for me to turn them on?

That's bizarre. If you have a good reason to believe you've handled stolen property why would you hand the item back to the person/company you got it from, especially if the police are involved?

New Old Joy Division Bass Day. Just received this 1977 (?) Hondo Ricken-faker, the model made famous by Peter Hook in Joy Division days (before he switched to Shergold Marathon 6 string and Yamaha basses). A few screws missing and signs of age but plays/sounds great and, importantly for me, weighs just 8.2 pounds. Sits nicely next to my Shergold Marathon bass, the Joy Division nerd that I am.

This had crossed my mind as well - also would explain why they are so reluctant to speak to me or the police....

I will be using that phrase to describe why I have sold many basses over the last decades! 🤣

This is all quite bizarre, sounds to me like the auction house and the 'consignee' might have something of a special relationship.......?
