  1. Past hour
  2. The irony that they are inspiring youngsters to pick up guitars, basses and drums and play live...... Just as most of the physical shops selling them have shut down.
  3. Depends on how acutely you listen, I suppose. (Unless you have those ears that say 'a bass is a bass'.)
  4. It's All Over Now Baby Blue - Bob Dylan
  5. Successful bands are popular because many people think they are good at what they do. If enough people think you are good then you are. QED As for Oasis, their songs are very popular with audiences and are easy to learn, so I love them.
  6. What is objectively superior when talking about feel or sound? I can see being objective for something like build quality, paint finish, tuner reliability, bridge adjustability, etc etc. But "better sound"? I dunno.
  7. Definitely, no maybes about it (see what I did there?) Whilst they may not be the most accomplished musicians they have a cool factor, if that inspires kids to start picking up guitars etc only a good thing imo.
  8. Honestly, I don't think it really matters how 'good' they are, they were playing guitars on huge stages, TV shows etc... Something for people to aspire to, it really does help sell gear. Can you imagine how many Epiphones, Gibsons and various amp brands Noel Gallagher has helped sell over the years.
  9. Driving down to Dorset tomorrow morning if anyone interested is en route…
  10. If postage ever becomes an option please DM me @Lozz196 and let me know, this would have sold within a week if it had been I think
  11. One of the above, good working order, Velcro on bottom. £50 inc postage in UK.

  12. Absolutely! All my mates who worked in music shops loved Oasis first time around. They said that suddenly a new generation of 13 year old kids started coming into the shop, wanting to buy a guitar and to learn to play Rock 'n' Roll Star and Cigarettes and Alcohol...
  13. Except for some light tarnishing, the BD signature having worn off the pickups (happens with all of them!) and 2 missing screws in the rear cavity cover, it is immaculate. Came with a spare set of SIT strings, second cavity cover and a semi-hard case too. So all in, there's agreed price was a bit of a steal...
  14. I do wish the Black Sabbath remasters had taken Ozzy a bit back in the mix and brought Bill Ward up a bit; all the recordings I've heard have the mix a bit wrong.
  15. Here we have a nice Yamaha BB300 in candy apple red if Im not mistaken In good order with a few minor scratches Frets with minimal wear All working as it should with no issues Bridge has been upgraded with a high mass one Price to include delivery to UK addresses

  17. I'd definitely buy this if I hadn't bought the lovely Bryant from @bassace six months ago!
  18. Yes. The sales assistant emailed back stating they don’t have a documentation of the EQ frequencies
  19. Open to offers for this
  20. You're certainly not going to show the kids "this is what you can sound like if you're any good," that's for sure.
  21. Hello P.T winISD calculations:- Using data from a 2021 spec 12 CMV2 (now replaced by 12 CMV3) your volume calculation of 49.98 for the box and allowing for the volume of the drive and port you should get a net volume of 47 litres. The "fs" for the driver is 49.30Hz. With that you select one vent that is exactly 10cm internal diameter. The vent length will be 12.68cm. With a 100w input the winISD calculation is for an output of up to 116dBa at around 115HZ. Not a bad match at all. If you decide upon two 8.20cm diameter ports (as per the options in winISD) vent length is 20.9cm. It all depends upon the space you have for 1 or 2 ports on the front baffle and or what ports you can buy.
  22. The preamp EQ frequencies for quite a few bass brands seems to be something they keep close to their chest!
  23. Money must be funny in a reach mans world.😍
  24. Nice! That's like AliExpress prices but presumably with much better QC. The edges of that fretboard look seriously rolled!

  26. Yamaha DXR 8 Active Speaker This unit has been used as a keyboard monitor and comes with brand new Yamaha outdoor semi waterproof cover and mains lead. It is in good condition although it has lost its control knob caps. Everything works as it ought to. It is in very good cosmetic condition It’s very powerful for an 8” active cab. Great little multi purpose speaker. The original woofer has been replaced with a recommended Fane equivalent. Power Output: Dynamic: 1100W (LF: 950W HF: 150W) / Continuous: 700W (LF: 600W HF: 100W) Frequency Range: 57Hz - 20kHz Inputs: XLR-3-31 x1 , INPUT2: Phone x2, INPUT3: RCA PIN x 2, THRU: XLR3-32 x 1 (Parallel with INPUT 1 ), LINK OUT: XLR x 1 Pole Mounts: 2 options - 1 straight and 1 angular socket for mounting at downward angles Dimensions: 280mm (11") x 458mm (18") x 280mm (11") Weight: 13.5kg (29.8lbs) Pickup preferred but I can post at buyer’s cost. It is very well built and the packed weight will reflect this so I envisage it will be around £20 to post it. UK only. Priced to reflect the replacement driver and lack of control caps.
  27. Change of plan - back up for sale - makes absolutely no sense having this and it not being played!
