  2. I bought this a couple of years back and did it up. It was professionally set up and restrung but I am just not using it. We were playing 80s alternative songs on folk instruments BUT I quickly got sick of taking several instruments to gigs and seem to have settled on using less. I added the fitted case, bought brand new from Gear 4 Music. The action is pretty decent and these are loads of fun / easy to play. I have it strung G-D-A-E but you can tune it C-G-D-A or like the top 4 strings of a guitar. Happy to meet Swindon - Newbury way which can be discussed via DM. Thanks for looking.

  3. Yeah, liking that a lot, good bassline to learn
  4. EHX Micro Pog, polyphonic up/down octave pedal, boxed with original EHX PSU and all original paperwork. Excellent condition, velcro on the back, price includes UK mainland postage. Wonderful sounding, superb tracking pedal with the added bonus of octave up as well as octave down.
  5. I recently bought a Barefaced cab from Sam - it's in fantastic condition and it was a really easy transaction. Just how buying from the forum should be 👍

  7. **I think I have mis-priced this as there's some available on auction sites at £80ish. I will sell here for £80 plus postage** Had this for probably just over a year. I got it as a more compact version of the WL-50 because I was moving away from a pedalboard to a single multi fx unit. Absolutely great wireless system that has never let me down, I just realised that I can manage with a cable to be honest and I need to raise a bit of cash. Happy to post in the UK for a fiver, recorded delivery.

  8. Probably a non starter but wondering if a) there are any potential issues and b) if anyone's tried it I have a relatively small and lightweight Maui column PA that while pretty loud and decent is probably not quite big enough for the band/venue in question. The singer has a much larger old school Peavey PA that we're probably going to use instead. However neither system currently has any stage monitors and money's a little tight at present. Would it be madness to use the smaller PA facing the band as on-stage monitors, albeit with bass cut? There are only three mics on stage - vox, backing vox, and kick - all facing the back of the stage (no need for more on drums as it's a small venue and the drummer's solid). Thanks in advance 👍
  9. Made in Japan, well used with plenty of scratches (see photos). Plays and records really well. No whammy bar. I’ve used it for home recording and it sounds fine, good variety of sounds. Only my playing lets it down.

  15. I did eventually get another Monza and I can confirm that it has done everything people said it would. I don’t think I’m going to need another/replacement amp. Using the two Monza’s together, there is an instant volume increase, plus a heftier feel to the bottom end, while retaining clarity. Another advantage is that the second cab is much nearer to mine and the audience’s ear level. The Monza has excellent dispersion as it is but the extra height of the second cab really adds an extra level.

  17. oh wow these aren’t a arm or a leg AT ALL. Really appreciate this. I’ll look into the TRS to TRS cable also. T
  18. Appreciate this. Make me happy I joined this forum.
  19. Yazz Ahmed in Manchester Jazz Festival, which I can’t describe better than Jazz Times’s reviewer - except to add that Ralph Wyld on vibes and marimba was just extraordinary - almost show-stealing, had all the others not also been so good. Also so far seen Phil Meadows’ Beware of the Bear with Joe Downard excellent on bass guitar and unexpected bonus of Rosie Frater Taylor on guitar; John Ellis with the awesome Grant Russell on DB; and Ladies of Midnight Blue which sounds like it should be a sort of smoky female-vocal led account of the standards songbook but was actually two women (very adeptly) whacking the bejeezus out of various drums whilst spreading Black consciousness. And blowing bubbles. I liked it.

  21. That was my thought, reading between the lines of the letter. The Hiscox brand has too much value to just throw on the scrap heap, I'm certain it will continue, probably manufactured in the Far East although they may wait a while to see how all the Trump tariff nonsense plays out before they make the decision on exactly where, which would explain why they're not taking any more orders at the moment.
